Surprise Call - Chapter 13

I woke up in the bed. Jason must have probably carried me here after I fell asleep in the passenger seat.

Rubbing my eyes, I sat up and looked at my clothes. I was still wearing the same as yesterday.
Good, cause I wouldn’t be able to stand it if Jason saw my body. Again, that is.
I yawned and got out of bed and took another morning shower. How I love morning showers.
I didn’t wash my hair though, since I washed it like yesterday.

Speaking of yesterday, it was quite fun hanging with Jason. I finally got to see his good side.
Smiling at myself, I put on some clothes.

I was rocking those lace high tops. As for my hair, I curled it and let it down. I put on some lip gloss and a little bit of mascara. Damn, I’d date myself.
Chuckling, I made sure I cleaned everything up. After doing so, I walked up to the front and sat down next to Jason.
He looked at me and smiled.

‘’Morning. You look nice.’’

I blushed and looked down.

‘’Thanks.’’

He grinned and shifted his gaze back to the road.

‘’We’re gonna reach the house soon, just to let you know...’’

He trailed off and licked his lips. I nodded.

‘’Tonight, tonight, there’s a party on the roof at the top of the world...’’

My eyes widened. That’s my phone! I looked at Jason and he was taking my phone out of his pocket.

‘’I’ll answer.’’

His voice was bitter.

‘’Hello?’’

I heard someone talking on the other side but I couldn’t make out what they were saying. Jason’s face turned red.

‘’And what are you gonna do about it Beaver? She’s mine now!’’

Wait, what? He was talking to Justin? Tears filled my eyes, blurring my vision. I quickly wiped them away with my hand and looked at Jason when he chuckled.

‘’Don’t ever call her again or even try to save her. Cuz if you do, I won’t hesitate to kill you.’’

He threw my phone on the floor and it broke into pieces. I gasped.

‘’Why did you do that? I wanted to talk to him!’’

He looked at me like I was crazy.

‘’Why the hell would you want to do that?! He cheated on you for god’s sake!’’

Tears were running down my face and I stood up, getting directly in his face.

‘’I still love him!’’

His angry face turned into a hurt expression. He gulped and shook his head. A tear rolled down his left cheek. He went to the bedroom and slammed the door behind him. I squeezed my eyes shut.

‘’Ugh!!’’

Why do I have to be so stupid? He likes me for god’s sake.
Well, at least that’s what I think. He could have been lying when he said so. I mean like, he still wanted to kill me. For all I know, he might still want to do so.
I sighed and went after him. Slowly opening the bedroom door, I peeked inside.

‘’Jason?’’

Opening thedoor fully, I was engulfed by the darkness of the room.

‘’Go away.’’

Even though he mumbled, I could still make out the words. I licked my lips and looked at him. He was sitting at the edge of the bed with his head in his hands. I sat down next to him and leaned my head on his shoulder. We stayed like that for a while. He sniffled and looked up at me, which made me look back at him.

‘’I love you Samantha.’’

He whispered. My breathing hitched. I didn’t what to say, so I just stayed quiet. He chuckled.

‘’I knew you don’t feel the same way. Just forget what I said.’’

He started to stand up but I stopped him. He looked at me, puzzled. I licked my lips.

‘’Look, Jason. I may not love you like you love me, but I sure as hell like you.‘’

He looked at me wide eyes then wrapped his arms around my waist and pulled me into a hug.

I didn’t know what to do, so I wrapped my arms around his neck and nuzzled my head into the crook of his neck. This actually felt kind of nice. Taking in his scent, I smiled and pulled him even closer if that was possible. I felt him smile against my neck. We pulled away, but our arms were still wrapped around each other.

He looked into my eyes and slowly started to lean in. I looked down at his lips and then back into his eyes and leaned in too. Our lips touched and we shared a soft but passionate kiss. He smiled into the kiss and pulled me a bit closer. We leaned our heads to the side, to give us more room for the kiss. He slowly licked my bottom lip and I granted him access. Our tongues battled for dominance and of course, he won. He explored my mouth and pulled me even closer, so not even a sheet of paper could fit between us. He smirked against the kiss and pulled away. We were both trying to catch our breaths.

‘’Wow!’’

He smiled at me and I bit my lip.

‘’That was – Amazing.’’ He finished the sentence for me. I nodded. I just might fall for him.
