2 Years ago- Y/N's POV It was D-day, finally my graduation day. I can finally get out of this HELL HOLE called highschool. I was never popular but I wasn't invisible, I've always been your typicalhighschool girl.
I get out of bed and immediately go to the bathroom, and as I am straightening my unruly hair my little sister, Veronica (I call her Roni), bangs on the door,"GET OOOUT!! I HAVE TO PEE!" She shouts. "Wait! I always have to wait for you in the morning why do you think I woke up so early today? Plus give me a break I'm graduating today!" I yell back. "I. DON'T. CARE. GET OUT!" Roni rudely replies. "Go use the bathroom in Mom and Dad's room!" I say starting to get really annoyed. "UGHHHHHH FINE!" Roni exclaims while she storms away.
I finally finish straightening my hair and washing up and go back to my room to take out the dress my Mom and I picked out a few days ago, A beautiful lavender purple embroidered dress.

I put the dress in a bag that way I can be comfortable until I get to school to put it on, just then my mom calls "COME DOWNSTAIRS I MADE BREAKFAST, Y/N!" Does loudness run through my family, you wonder? Yes, yes it does. I run down the stairs and almost fall and break my neck. "Gosh, be careful Y/N, the food would still be here if you walked" My Father scolds me. "Hehe, sorry!" I say with my mouth full of bacon my mom fried. My Dad hits my head softly, "Don't talk with your mouth full too!" My family laughs. As I finish my food, my Dad says " Oh yeah, Y/N" "Hm?" I reply. "I need to pick up something from work before you graduation so I might be a little late, but Roni and your mom will be there for the beginning, OK?" "Sure, Ok" I say.
Later In The Day "Roni hurry up we gotta go!" My Mom yells from the front door, as I wait in the car. Soon my mom joins me and says " Since you got your driver licences recently I will let you drive, so don't kill us." "Really Mom!!" I squeal with excitement as she hands me the keys. I quickly switch seats with my mom and get into the driver's seat. Just then Roni finally runs out the door and gets into the car.
We finally arrive at my highschool and today I'm actually excited to be here. I go in first while my Sister and Mom go to the "gift shop" (The Gym teacher selling chocolates and flowers.)
The ceremony starts and the principle starts talking doing his "little speech" for literally an hour, and I literally fell asleep for half of it since he had such a monotone voice. I look in the audience for My family and see my Mom and Sister, but not my Dad. Right then my Mom gets up to take a call and leaves my Sister there. I assume it's just a random caller and go back to listening to the next speech by the valedictorian, luckily the valedictorian wanted the ceremony to end soon too and made their speech short. Then they start to call everyone's names. Peter Arker! *hand shake* *smile* *walks off stage while dabbing*

I sigh and face palm thinking about how lame that was just now. Names after names my name is finally called. Y/N Y/L/N. I walk up on stage and look in my family's direction for pictures but my Mom and Dad aren't there, I only see my Sister wake up startled by the loud clapping and starts to clap noticing it was me. The ceremony ends and I meet up with my Sister. "Where's Mom?" I ask, "I don't know, call her." Roni says while yawning.
(A/N Omg guys I literally yawned while typing yawn, life's crazy dude!)
I call my Mom and she picks up instantly, crying uncontrollably. "Mom!? What's wrong!?" "Y-y-your dad g-got into a c-c-car accident! They say he's in critical condition!" She stutters out. I stand there in shock and instantly take my Sister's hand and run to the car and drive to the closest hospital since my Mom took an uber. I get to the hospital and look for my Mom as my Sister follows behind me, I find her and run to her and then fall to the ground. I whimper quietly and my Sister starts to wail loudly as she too falls to the ground.
6 hours later The surgeons walk up to us with pitying expressions and I instantly know what they're going to say, and look down. My Mom runs up to them and desperately asks "IS HE OK, WILL HE LIVE? PLEASE I'LL DO ANYTHING PLEASE TELL MY MY HUSBAND IS OK!" The surgeon looks at her with sad eyes "Sadly-" My Mom knows the answer already, and starts to wail out mg Father's name "WILLIAM NOOOOOO, HOW COULD YOU DO THIS TO ME! HOW COULD YOU LEAVE ME, AND YOUR TWO DAUGHTERS?!" The surgeon asks me to talk alone with him. He tells me that the police said that they found graduation balloons, a cake, and roses in the car. I fall to the ground once again and start to cry.
1 Month later I come to the hospital with my Sister to check up on my Mom, after my Father died she went into shock and stopped speaking and showing emotion. I open her room door and she turns to look at us then goes back to looking out the window, "Hey Mom, I brought you some strawberries your favorite!" She looks back at me and I start to feed her the strawberries holding back my tears.
Since my mom is not in condition to hold a funeral and I am now my Sister's legal guardian because I'm now 18 I had to hold the funeral. I contacted all of our relatives and close family friends and invited them to the funeral by e-mail. At the funeral many people cried, saying they will miss him and told me to stay strong, but I didn't cry. I was done crying, all I could think about now is how I am going to take care of my family. I have to pay the hospital bill and I still have to pay for college and food.
I need a job.
