They say that everyone goes through a traumatic experience. that you lose either lose a family member, or get a horrible sickness, or even not get to go to a friends sleepover. Mine was different than a " traumatic" experience than not going to a friends house. Mine was life threatening.
It was death sentencing.
It was scary.
And it all started with a soccer ball.

It was a " lovely" morning, just as it always is at 5:00 in the morning for my dawn training out at summer valley soccer park. I started off with daily routine of running the perimeter of the fields then practicing some passing drills with my best friend Alex.
" Amber, you are just too fast for me!"She hollered after me as I sprinted passed him with the ball.(ok, so I am a BIT of a show off but isn't everyone)
"Hahaha! If you want the ball Alex, then come get it!"
We continued teasing each other until we could see the flicker of the suns rays over the horizon and started to pack up and head to the car.
"What do you want for breakfast that gives us energy for the game?"
I look over to Alex and saw her scoffing down a granola bar and laughed. She is really big on having a great balance of food. If she could, she would only eat granola bars because they are the only kind of food that can be packed in with all food groups (except veggies, she HATES veggies just as much as a normal person does)
"Um..... How about Megan's bagel place!" she said in between bites.
"sounds good to me." We both love to go to that bagel place.
"Ok, I will meet you there!" I hollered back at her.
She started to walk across the parking lot and at that point another car was starting to pull out of its parking spot. It was about to hit Alex! I tried telling at her but all she did was stop and waved bye. Typical. I had to do something before she was squashed like a bug! It was almost going to hit her when I pushed her out of the way. She didn't get crushed! Only one problem.
I did.
