Why the Alpha (ON HOLD)

chapter Six

  Rose sighed and shook her head "I must be going crazy, that's what it is... All the shit that has gone on is finally catching up to me joy." she grumbled and walked over to her closet and grabbed some clothes that would be good for training, nothing restricting. It was early and she was the first one down stairs, so Rose walked into the kitchen and started to prepare a good hearty breakfast for everyone. While she was cooking the sound of doors opening and footsteps coming down the stairs alerted her that everyone was finally awake and on their way down, she placed the food into the serving dishes and laid them out in a buffet kind of style.

Rose grabbed herself a plate and sat down at the long table and ate while everyone filled in, Dog and Ash were last to enter the room and to sit down. After everyone finished eating two omegas came and cleaned up the plates, as everyone made their way outside for training. Silver leaned against a tree waiting for instructions to start and smirked when Ash walked out in his wolf form with Dog next to him. Her alphas wolf form was strong and demanded respect but she knew that he was really a big ol puppy dog.

Everyone soon shifted into their wolves, and Rose made her way towards the front where the beta should be. Her pack were still surprised by the size and color of her wolf, but it didn't bother her. She was a trained killing machine and that's what she will do, she will complete her missions and leave no stone unturned, this pack was going to be trained as the special division. They were not going to be weak like her old pack and they will be ready to fight to the death, no one will die ever again from an attack. She nodded at Ash and dog who probably knew what she was thinking and with that final thought the training began.

A few hours later everyone was laying down panting while Rose and Ash were still standing, but this time they were in their human form looking at their pack members. Ash stepped forward and everyone looked up at him and his strict face, "You may think that all the training we are doing is harsh. But I will tell you this once, I will not lose any pack members ever again. If anyone attacks us we will be ready to fight and kill to protect what's ours. Your beta and third in command came from the same pack as me, and we saw the blood shed that the hunters and other packs brought. We will not lose to that we will be strong and ready to fight at a moments notice. We will not lose anyone from this pack unless its from old age." He growled. Everyone cheered at the end and Rose smiled proud of Ash her best friend and now an Alpha.

Rose walked over and hugged Ash and heard a growl, she turned around and saw one of the new pack members, the girl was a five foot two who needed to get her hair redone. Rose raised an eyebrow "is there a problem?" She asked calmly while the rest of the pack watched the exchange going down. The girl snarled again and took a step closer and Rose yawned, which seemed to irritated the short she wolf even more. Rose finally had enough and growled deep and loud "If all your going to do is growl at me then we are done here Kira." She said and started to walk away.

kira launched at Rose and shifted into an unattractive dark dirty brown wolf, and she snapped her yellow teeth at Rose. Rose shifted into her Gray wolf and showed off her pearly whites, and dogged kiras attack. Kira was sloppy and predictable, she would maneuver her weight to her left hind which would give off her attack easily. When Kira lept forward aiming for throat silver grabbed Kiras wolf by the scruff and threw her into a nearby tree, a sickening crack was heard then a howl.

Rose shifted back and looked at the fallen she wolf with disgust, and shook her head and curled her lip back "I'm not going to kill you, but I will have fun with you hun." She said with a laugh. The pack glared at the fallen she wolf and walked away, but two members stayed behind to help her to the pack doctor. Rose wasn't mean enough to not let her get healed but she was going to make Kiras life a living hell, she poked a sleeping giant and it wasn't going to end up good for her.

Rose walked into the house and everyone looked at her in awe "what? something on my face?" she asked and everyone shook their heads no. A little pup came running forward and held onto her leg "you looked awesome out there Ms. Beta, I wanna be as strong as you when I grow up." the little girl said and Rose bent down and picked the pup up and put her on her hip.

Rose smiled and brushed the hair out of the pups face "Call me Rose, and if you train and listen to your mommy and daddy then you will." She said and gently placed the pup down and gave her a pat on the head. Rose turned on her heel and walked up the stairs to her room, where she stripped out of the clothes she was wearing and walked into her bathroom and started the shower.

What she didn't know was the wolf from her dreams watched the whole thing with interest, he watched how she handled herself when kira launched at her and how she handled the little kid. But the wolf perked his ears and turned on his haunches and ran into the forest, he has seen enough to know what kind of wolf his little mate was. He wasn't disappointed either, a wolfish smirk appeared on his face as he ran pack to his pack lands making sure to avoid the pack patrol. Soon his little spit fire of a mate will be right where she belongs, which was next to him ruling over his pack.

Rose pressed play on her phone which connected to the blue tooth speakers in her bathroom and the beautiful melody that belonged to the song Stay with Me by Punch and Chanyeol, flooded into the room. She stepped into the warm water and hummed along to the song, their melody relaxed her with the soothing notes of the music. Rose closed her eyes and took a deep breath as everything came rushing back to her, all of the events that led up to where she was now flashed before her. It took everything she had to not burst out crying, but even she had a breaking point and a trader tear rolled down her cheek freely. Rose quickly wiped it away but it was to late, soon a sob came from the back of the red heads throat. Tears rolled down her face and sobs wracked her body, the water blocked the sound of her crying and heart broken sobs but Rose kept crying. She stood in the shower for an hour till she was hiccuping and sniffing, the tears had slowed to a stop and she was left empty and broken.

Rose turned off the shower and wrapped herself in a towel and hugged herself, she wasn't in a good place of mind and all she wanted was to curl into a ball and be back in her mother's arms. But that was ripped away from her and the life she knew was shattered, all thanks to the hunters and the pack of wolves. If anyone looked into her room and laid their eyes on her, they would be able to see her shutting down and hurting. She held her body in defeat as her eyes looked ahead blankly, the once blue eyes that held fire and determination was gone like a light all that remained was empty space. Rose was an empty shell of a wolf that once was strong and happy, now she was just strong as she struggled to accept the losses that she had to.
