They approached the huge premises of Blue Ridge High School. Elizabeth had seen many schools before. But this was something. It was highly overwhelming the way it seem to extend for miles and miles in elegant structures that made both ladies slightly gape.
They walked down the brick path, outlined buy some kind of neat and artistic flower bed.
"Hey, Genna. You sure we can afford this place for more than a week?If it's gonna make us broke then just send me to any public school. It's not like we'll be here lo-"Elizabeth begun. The place looked so expensive. Like some kind of modernised castle.
"No, Liz. I told you, this time is different. And you will receive only the best. Okay?" Genna looked up at her Goddaughter with her sparkling dark blue orbs.
Elizabeth clamped her lips in a rigid line and tried not to argue. She wasn't going to hope. She'd take the having to urgently having to leave to another state as it came. She was used to it.
The inside of the school was more outrageous. Really? Who put mini chandeliers in a school full of hormonal teenagers? And the tiles were just...impeccable.How many janitors did they need to keep this up? Must cost hell of a lot, Elizabeth though.
She shifted her attention to the other living organisms in the room. Instead of the uniformed students which definitely suited the atmosphere, there were teenagers in normal teenage clothes, doing normal teenaged things.
"Hello, ma'am." Genna called out to a middle aged woman with a severe look on her face. She had fading red her which had been pulled back into a painful bun and wore a dark green suite. She adjusted her wire rimmed glasses at the call from Genna and turned around with an unhappy and questioning gaze.
"Excuse me ma'am. Good morning. I'm Miss Genevieve Renault. My Goddaughter and I were just wondering where we could find the principal's office?" Genna bared her dainty white teeth in a polite smile. The woman frowned again and then snapped her fingers at a girl with majority curly brown hair with a generous dusting of freckles across her nose and cheeks. She wore huge purple eyeglasses which enlarged her hazel orbs.
"You, take these two to the principal's office." She said almost simultaneously walking away.
"Okay Mrs. Sowerfae."she nodded eagerly.
"Hi. I'm Angelica Renèe."she waved. Elizabeth nodded while Genna whole heartedly smiled at the young girl. Elizabeth wasn't gonna be nice. She was just been protecting herself. This had become a practice for her now. Be cold to everybody. Never get attached.
"Let's go shall we? His office should be a few blocks away. It's almost near the borders apartments. Pretty far you know? This school is really huge. I remember getting lost my first few weeks like a lot but then I started mapping areas out and I know the grounds pretty well which comes in handy you in finding shortcuts to classes and stuff..."
Elizabeth stared quietly almost irked at the back of the head of the brunette girl. God she could rattle.
