Pidge told herself that she loved Coran no matter what. The problem was that she had to keep reminding herself that everytime she got yelled at for anything. She decided, Coran was like that extremely overprotective uncle that had access to ion cannons and other scary things that scared her. Similes and grammar were never Pidge's forte, leaving her glad she left the theatrics and english stuff to Lance. In his words, Team Voltron should be glad Coran didn't know what Shakespeare was, or he might get ideas.

Her ears were still ringing from the angered noises that had been coming from Coran as they entered the makeshift home ship. Rather than argue and yell in English, he decided to let all his thoughts out in Altean. After some creative language, a few choice words, and a few doboshes of scary, he let everyone go. Pidge was just glad she knew some basic Altean, and not to make pinky promises with Coran. She guessed Shiro didn't know how important those were to these Alteans. Shiro cursed Lance for that.

Pidge pulled herself up from her computer she stationed in the middle of her messy and tight living quarters. Exhaling, she decided she should grab her hair dye and ask Keith to help her and Shiro out. She remembered him talking about a large mirror on the ship that they could use. It was almost exciting for Pidge as she thought about how interesting her hair would look after experimenting with hair dye. Luckily for her, if she didn't like the dye, she could just ask Keith to help her cut it out of her hair or something. Keith was an excellent hair stylist.

She picked up her green dye and smiled fondly at it when Keith suddenly appeared in her doorway. She looked up when he called her name, and stood up, almost hitting her head some lights that were dangling far too close to the floor. They almost hit Pidge Gunderson, and that was saying something.

"Hey Pidge, Shiro's started putting some of his hair dye in, so I was wondering if you wanted some help right now too," Keith kindly offered, holding out a hand for her to steady herself. Laughing off the light, she took his hand and smiled.

"That sounds great! I'm excited to try it out, and interested to see how Shiro will look," she mused as they made their way out of her room and down the confusing maze of hallways that lead to wherever this mirror was. She took his hand in hers as they walked, before they both stopped dead in their tracks.

A very long and worrying shriek could be heard echoing throughout the ship, leaving both Pidge and Keith with a sick feeling. It sounded an awful lot like Shiro, which she knew would immediately activate Keith's Protect™️ sense. Keith took off first, basically spriting with Pidge right behind him. All previous signs of happiness were forgotten in the panic.

But soon enough the panicked screeching was cut off by laughter as Pidge found herself standing in the doorway of a large bathroom, Keith doubled over in laughter and Shiro, face pale as a ghost, holding his head with globs of purple dye in his hair and on his hands. It was truly a sight to behold, Keith's actual laughter, and Shiro with half of his head covered in purple hair.

Pidge put her hand to her mouth to cover the obvious giggles that came to the surface, shaking her head. The whole picture was truly made by the fact that the large mirror and walls had pictures of Lance hanging all around them. Keith had asked to borrow Lance's bathroom, which just so happened to have the biggest mirror she'd ever seen. She honestly could never had persecuted this, even from the start. Science certainly led Pidge to interesting places.

"Keith," Shiro almost croaked, "What do I do?" His voice was strained and his face showed signs of early onset wrinkles from how much his eyebrows could be believe what just happened, which just caused Keith to laugh harder.

"You'll just- have to keep- going," Keith managed to get out between laughs, his hand reaching for the counter so he could support himself. Pidge just kept shaking her head, knowing full well that Keith wouldn't let Shiro have his black hair dye.

"I guess it's my turn now," she laughed, bringing her bright green dye up on the counter, and looking at Keith. She almost knocked over the array of hair, skin, and nail product that filled the counter, causing her to wonder why Lance hoarded all this stuff and where in the world he could have gotten it. It clearly was not alien brand.

Luckily for Pidge, Keith helped her sort out her hair situation, running a brush and product through her hair, to her liking. She had really let her hair do its thing with only a few trims once the team had decided to go back to Earth. It was only slightly longer, but perfect for the green tips she wanted to try.

As Keith was finishing her hair, Shiro was still struggling to accept the fact that he had purple hair. Although he had continued on with applying it, there was obvious whining (and some shouting), and Pidge could tell Keith was just about to lose his marbles.

Pidge turned to Keith and looked him in the eye, smiling with the biggest grin she could. She wanted to thank him, thank him for everything that had happened. She got on her tippy-toes, her face getting closer to his, and he leaned down to accommodate, glad for a distraction.

They kissed a long and gentle kiss, but not before Lance and Allura busted in the doorway. Lance phone in hand (and on record) and Allura saying something about how they heard yelling.

Not that Pidge cared enough to stop for them, it may not have been the picture perfect ending her experiment and data would have suggested, but the whole experience was better than anything she could have asked for.

BONUS

Coran later inquired about Shiro's hair situation, to which he only replied, 'Pidge and Keith.' Coran did ask where they got the dye, and Pidge offered to show it to him. She explained they found it in a small store with big selection. It wasn't until she showed him the actual bottle that they had any fun.

Oh yes, Coran immediately saw the bottle and owned up it right away. He had been the one to make the brand which sold Paladin Pidge™️, Striking Shiro™️, and Killer Keith™️.

"Well of course, number five! One has got to make a living somehow out here somehow. How else do you expect me to support this family?"

As for Shiro, the color grew on him, and he decided against sneaking into Keith's room, so as not to bother Keith (and unbeknownst to him, Pidge as well).

And Pidge, well, her computer startup screen stayed as a screenshot from Lance's video of her and Keith kissing with a hysterical Shiro in the background. It truly was a sight to behold. Only good memories for them, which is exactly what the team, and the couple deserved.
