[Parthevia Empire – Tison Village – Fourteen Years Ago – Beginning Present]
'Life in Parthevia wasn't easy, nothing in this world is easy anymore. Wars tore up the country side, slavery was hugely popular just about everywhere, people were starving and just when people thought that it couldn't possibly get worse, strange towers known as dungeons began appearing. But fourteen years ago, my adopted older brother, Sinbad, became a legend.' A voice says adult Sinbad is shown standing before he morphs back fourteen years into fourteen year old Sinbad.
It was a regular day for Kana. She wore a simple little dress even though she played in the dirt with all the boys. She was an orphan in the village. She didn't have a home of her own, but what she did have was the older boy in the village to take care of her. His name was Sinbad and she saw him as her big brother. It was just after her parents had died that Sinbad began taking care of her. It was around the time that the first dungeon appeared that the village kids wanted nothing to do with Kana. Sinbad had been gone for two months and they teased her to say he was dead in the dungeon.
"He is not! Big brother is a wonderful person! He's strong and he will come back to Esra and me!" Kana says before she runs off crying.
But before Sinbad could come back, Esra had passed away. Sinbad was unable to share his wealth with his mother. When Kana heard that Sinbad had returned she ran to his home to find him crying over the death of his mother.
"Big Brother!" Kana says running into the house and Sinbad turns to look at her. He found she too was crying.
"Oh, Kana." Sinbad says and Kana starts sobbing as she runs to him and hugs him. Within a few hours, Sinbad was finished clearing out his home. Kana stows away into his bag. He carried the bag on his back and got a boat together in the capital city. As he'd brought a few things, he didn't notice that the bag contained that of a little human being. He got his things onto his boat before heading back and humiliating the Princess of Parthevia. He throws her back into a barrel that drifts back to shore.
"Bye Princess!" Sinbad says before chugging back the antidote. Later that evening as he was miles from Parthevia, he heads over to his things and opens the bag. His eyes widen when he finds Kana sleeping peacefully in his things.
"KANA?!" Sinbad asks shocked. Kana wakes up and she looks around. She spots Sinbad.
"Big Brother!" Kana says.
"Wh-What are you doing here?!" Sinbad asks and Kana sits across him with a sad look on her face as he'd scolded her.
