The project

Chapter 1

I am a very quiet girl. I am in year 7 but I am close to going into year 8 at hazelwick academy. I am a okay at science and art. My mum who was called, Jo was an amazing horse rider she nearly rode her horse Rocky, everyday whilst trying to get on with her daily routine. I shared my mums passion for horses. My dad, Simon wasn't really interested with horses like my mum and I were. He was more into to football and golf, like my brother.

It was the end of term and I got my last set of results back from my teachers, I was fairly pleased with my results. My mother had always said one day I could own another pony of my own one day. I was more eager to get a horse than I had ever been before now. My mum came in on the last day of term and said to me "As you know you have done very well at school this year." My dad who was standing behind her nodded in agreement. "So, for that reason, we have decided to get you..." Before she could finish her sentence I screamed with delight! I knew where this sentence was going.

I immediately ran to the computer and typed in horse mart. I turned around to see my parents smiling at each other then looking at me. "Now" my mum started "We have also decided a price for which we are both willing to pay for this pony."

"Okay" I said not really paying attention. My eyes still looking at the screen.

"The top price is £1,000, before you say anything we realise that it is not very much but, we wanted to get you a project." my mum said with doubt in her voice.

"What is a project?" I asked curious to know.

"It is usually a young pony that has done nothing or very little and that we can bring up and train ourselves and hopefully shape it into a perfect little pony for you." Mum explained. My eyes scanned the web page, looking at all the different horses ranging from 11hh to 16.3hh. There was a huge variety.
