We went up to Kent on the 30th December 2013. It was the most miserable day in the year. We hired a horse box and set off to Kent.

When we got there Beau was caked in mud and he had his rug on and we quickly gave the previous owner the money and ran him out to the lorry while battling the rain. My mum and I said thank you and ran into the car and the lorry driver got into her lorry.

When we got to turners hill which was his new home we got our Shetland and put him in the stable with Beau. Barney, the Shetland , wouldn't hurt a fly he is a gorgeous little boy and I have had him since I was three years old he is completely bombproof and a little cheeky but he is a sweetie really. The boys got on really well, there was no nastiness at all. We were really glad they got on.

From then on I rode him in the school there. He was a really good boy but I was a bit nervous at first. As my confidence progressed and I was at a good stage he decided to bolt and have a bucking fit This totally knocked my confidence but I was determined from then on he would bolt a lot and buck quite often but it has made me a better rider.

About 5 months later we were jumping. He jumps beautifully. I jumped the day before a show at Crabbett Park and I was thinking about going. I decided to go for it and I went in my friends lorry and she rode him first then I did. He was good but there was a lot of bucking involved, but I stayed on so there was no harm done, apart from my pride.
