When we got home Nobby was all I could talk about. I couldn't believe that I didn't want to see him. I think mum was liking this pony a lot. The next day she made her decision and put in an offer for him. She explained why her offer wasn't as much as the asking price was and we waited for a reply.
The lady wrote back but it was not good news. She said she would want more for him, she wanted £1,000 for him but mum didn't want to pay that much for a pony who hasn't done anything and we would have to train. Mum was strong and refused to give in.
Eventually the lady gave in and her and mum agreed on the price of £950.00 for him. Now that we were buying him we had to make him ours so I decided to change his name from Nobby. I searched the internet and I found the name Beau, it meant beautiful or handsome in French it fitted perfectly.
