Chapter 9. Let me go!

I searched through the street but couldn’t find it and it was getting dark. I had to remain calm and just look more at the shops. Most of the shops were busy with cleaning up and closing their shops. I looked around more but I couldn’t find it.

I sat down on a bench and sighed. Where could that pub be! I looked around and then I felt something slither up my arm. I jumped up and shoved it off and it hissed.

I looked at it and it was my own snake Toya I smiled at her and I patted her head.

“Sorry Toya I thought you were some animal but hold up where were you when they broke into my house?” I asked her.

“I was hiding under your bed and fell asleep I didn’t notice that you were going to ran away and then I went downstairs and found your parents. I’m very sorry about that Miss.” I looked at her.

“It’s okay Toya and I’m sorry I was really scared and I didn’t think about you but I’m happy you’re here now but how did you find me?” before Toya could answer the question black smoke appeared at the end of the street. I shoved Toya around my arm and stood up and walked away, I looked behind me to see where the man or woman was but there was nothing so I turned my head and bumped into someone with unfortunately a mask.

I gave a yell and wanted to run away but it grabbed me and dragged me with it to a dark alley. I saw more people with masks. One of the people stepped forward and let the mask disappear and then I saw it was a woman.

“So you think you could run away from us did you little girl.” She hissed. I was so scared of her, she had dark brown eyes and she had wide eyes.

“You know we are looking for you for quite a while now and finally we have you the Dark Lord would be pleased to see you.” I looked confused who is the Dark Lord and why were they looking for me?

I was really scared and I wanted to run so badly I felt that the grip on my arm loosened a little and thought that this was my change. I struggled and tried to get away from the people with masks but with no success the woman was very fast and grabbed me again now digging her fingernails into my skin. I struggled and tried again to get out of her grip.

“Let me go! What do you want from me I don’t even know you my parents are going to be furious.” I couldn’t get out of her grip and they only laughed at me. I slapped the woman against the cheek and everyone got silent and looked at the woman, she looked at me with so much rage in her eyes that scared the hell out of me.

“You little bitch what are you think you’re doing slapping me across my cheek. I will let you feel what it’s like to slap me!” I looked at her with wide eyes and she grabbed her wand and pointed to my chest but before she could say something someone stepped forward and stopped her.

“You know what the Dark Lord told us, the child has to receive the wand and must not be harmed whatsoever.” I looked at the man and then at the woman who lowered her wand and sneered at me and I felt relieved I had never felt a spell or curse on me so I was really relieved that it didn’t happen to me today. I was confused about what the man said about the wand did the old man knew I was coming for the wand and played a trick with me?

All of a sudden I went up with the woman into the black smoke and I almost got choked, when we landed a couple minutes later I coughed and almost vomited and the woman laughed really hard and pushed me forward when I looked up we arrived at a black and dark manor with high hedges and I realized that the black smoke was some sort of transportation. The people who had the mask on them let them disappear and then they revealed their faces. Some were men and some were women.
