3:35pm

The school day finally came to an end, and all the kids and teachers did was scratch a day off their calendar until school ends. "Bye Penny" Deja called out, before she walked out of the school building towards her car with her keys in hand and book bag on her back. However, things felt off for Deja. Something deep inside of her was telling her to get home immediately, which only pushed the girl on edge. Quickly climbing in the driver seat, Deja started the engine and drove off ready to get home.

Fifteen minutes later, Deja arrived home to an empty driveway, which only put her adrenaline higher, because usually her parents and siblings would be home. Grabbing her book bag from the passenger seat, Deja closed the door, and locked the car, but stopped as she noticed the van sitting on the other side of the street. Not wanting to assume the worst the girl opened the front door, locked it behind her, and walked around the house calling for her family.

"Mama!" "Dad?" "Pj?" "Donvani?!"

Running to the last place she didn't check, Deja saw a note taped onto the fridge. 'Went out for groceries with your Father and Brothers -Mom' it read.

Hearing the whines from her puppy locked up in her cage, Deja remembered she had to take her to the vet today. Taking her phone out her back pocket, Deja dialed her Mother's phone number, to get approval to go to the vet. "Hey Ma, can I go ahead and take Nia to the vet, her appointment is in thirty minutes?" she asked, as soon as the call answered.

"Yeah, be safe while you're out, and call me when you get there" Deja Mother said on the other line. "Alright, see you guys later" Ending the call, Deja walked over to Nia's cage. Opening the cage door, Deja slipped the leash on Nia, so she can't run off into trouble. "Alright let's go"

With leash in hand, and her fanny pack on, that held her necessities, Deja walked out the front door locking it behind her. The girl checked her surroundings, before opening the passenger door, putting Nia in the seat. IN return all the little golden retriever did was wag her tail.

Closing the door, Deja walked to the other side of the car to get in the driver seat, for when she saw the same black van sitting across the street, but this time a light was on inside the vehicle. There she saw a faint characteristic of blonde hair, before the light turned off. Maybe I was staring too long, and they got creeped out...

Starting the engine, the girl drove off to the vet, unaware of what would soon be her...
