Drew.

Jacob was staring right at me.

Right at ME.

His eyes seemed like he was staring directly into my soul, fishing out the secrets and the lies. I held his gaze to act as normal as I could. Well, as normal as a girl who had just probably ruined her social status because she had been writing these stupid letters to a guy that would mock her in front of the whole school would.

I felt my eye twitching and my heart racing. I probably looked like a lunatic in front of him.

I gripped Felicty's hand as he continued to stare into the very abyss of my soul and try to retrieve something that I so desperately didn't want him to retrieve. The truth.

I opened my mouth to tell him everything "I-"

Then, all of a sudden, he reached his hand forward and held out the piece of paper to me.

"Here"

And that was it.

I waited for him to slap me with it, but the moment never came.

"W-W-What did you say?" My mouth widened, and my grip on Felicty' hand loosened.

He raised an eyebrow as he glanced from the paper to my face "I said, Here"

"You..." I looked back at Felicty and she shrugged "You're giving it back to me?"

He gave me a funny look "What else would I do? It's yours, right?"

"And you... don't want it?"

Jacob scoffed and displayed the side of the paper that I had used "What do you mean 'do I want it'? This paper is full of doodles. Why the hell would I want something like this?"

And sure enough, the piece of paper he was holding up, was full of drawings of unicorns, avacados, potatoes wearing party suits, and also Felicty sharing a drink with Ryan Gosling.

And most embarrassing: A drawing of this guy in my homeroom, and history class, Lucas Benard, who I was slowly starting to crush on. In the drawing, he was leaning in to kiss me. I had drawn that after he had asked me to be his partner in a skit we were assigned to do.

I felt myself blushing, and I heard Felicty let out a short, but loud laugh behind me. Miranda smirked at me, but didn't seem to care, as she pulled out her phone from her pocket right after.

"I have a strong feeling that you want to keep your little fantasy of Lucas and you. So, take it" Jacob grimaced "I already get shitty letters. I don't need crappy drawings"

"They are not crappy" I snatched my paper from his hand and held it against my chest "And that isn't Lucas"

Jacob grinned "Well, the arrows say otherwise"

My eyes widened as I brought the drawing in front of my face so I could see it clearly. And sadly, he was right. I couldn't hide it. There were literally about 4 arrows pointing to the drawing of Lucas, and I had quickly scribbled the words "LUCAS BENARD!! ♡♡ xoxo!". For every. Single. Arrow.

Damn me and my arrows.

On the bright side, he couldn't possibly recognize and trace the messy handwriting on the doodles back to the handwriting in the letters. They were just too different.

Jacob stood back up and just like that, our conversation was over.

After we had picked up everything off the floor, Felicty and I headed towards our homeroom.
