1- New Faces, New Places

Y/N's POV

"WELCOME TO MY FIRST DAY AT DAYCARE!" I said to the people in my head as I walked into the big new daycare in front of me. I just moved back to Texas from North Dakota, it's a lot different. I looked around and found a flight of stairs, so of course, I climbed them. I reached the top and saw a bunch of other kids all spread around the daycare, talking to one another.

One kid in particular caught my eye, he was in a purple unicorn suit playing video games with a girl in a sloth shirt. I drew my eyes away from them and spotted a girl in a tiger onsie, she was snuggling into the arm of a brown haired boy in a blue jacket, he looked uncomfortable. I looked away from them and spotted a very peculiar boy in almost the exact same onsie as me, exept his was white and mine was pink, mine also wasn't a chicken, it was a unicorn. He was crouched behind a grey couch, watching the unicorn boy and brown haired girl. I walked over to him and crouched behind him.

"Whatcha doin'?" I whispered to him. The boy let out a scream that made me and probably the rest of the daycare jump.

"Sabre, what's wrong?" The blue jacket boy came over, his eyes widened at me. "Who are you?" The tiger girl was clinging on his arm. The two playing videogames where now looking over here, and the rest of the daycare was also watching.

"Um I'm Y/N" I said timidly.

"Y/N!" The kid, I think his name was Sabre exclaimed, I blinked as he yelled my name.

"Um yes, is there a problem with my name?" I asked, my gaze fixed on the unicorn boy who was staring at my unicorn onsie, I tugged at the hood that was covering my lavender hair.

"N-no there is nothing wrong with that, I just, it sounds oddly familiar" The boy said. I looked away from the unicorn boy and to the chicken boy, now that I was listening to his voice, it did sound familiar.

"You know now that I'm hearing your voice it does sound oddly familiar" I said to him.

"Maybe we're cousins or something" The chicken boy said.

"You could be brother and sister" I heard someone say.

"Brother and sister" I repeated the words in my head. "Maybe" I shrugged.

"Ryan we finally have even numbers to do teams in the portal" The tiger girl said. The blue boy gasped.

"We do!" He said

"Wait Mr. Uh Boy Blue, I don't even know your names! Who's we? What's a portal?" I asked.

"Oh yeah" The blue boy said. "I'm Ryan, this is Tina, and on the console thats Goldy and Unicorn, and by we she means me and the names I just mentioned including Sabre"

"And going around the circle we have Tony, Cookie, Casper, Kat, Black, Shark, Lizzie, Danny, and Dave" Tina said.

"Okay" I said whispering everyone's names to myself.

"Okay! Sabre, Tina, Goldy, Unicorn, and Y/N follow me to the portal. They all ran over and I walked after them.

"What is the portal?" I asked aloud, slightly scared.

"It basically takes us anywhere we wanna go by separating our molecules and putting them back" Unicorn said. I think I looked scared because he started panicking. "D-don't worry it's not scary, it almost ...tickles" he said smiling slightly. "I'm not helping am I" he sighed in defeat.

"Maybe it would help if you held my hand" I suggested in a friend to friend way. He blushed a crimson red, hard to see under his mask and beard but some trickled out as he took my hand in his.
