Aidan heard a whimper behind him. "You alright?" He asked Nadia not bothering to look back. The only response he got was some crying. Aidan turned around to see Nadia with the whole left side of her cheek covered in thorns. He directed the horse to an area with a group of beautiful trees, he lifted Nadia off of the horse then proceeded to lead her over to on particularly big tree.
He sat down against the tree and motioned for her. He patted the green grass next to him, motioning for her to sit. She sat down beside him and looked at him with tears in her eyes. "Lay your head on my lap and lay on your right side. This will hurt but I'll try to ease the pain." She did as she was told and soon she felt pain as he touched the biggest thorn. Nadia made a small noise that signaled her discomfort. "I know this hurts but it will hurt worst if we leave them in. You don't want that now do you?" She shook her head. Even speaking was painful now.
"One, two, three." Nadia heard Aidan count once he got to three she felt horrible pain. He counted again, only this time she knew what was coming and braced herself for the pain this time. One by one, the counting happened then came the pain, until all of the thorns were removed. "It's over, you can relax now. We need to clean up your face though, there's blood running down half of your face. Follow me." She lifted her head and he stood up then offered her his hand.
She took his hand and he pulled her up. Nadia was lifted off the ground slightly when he pulled her up. He was stronger than she thought. He started walking and she followed but she ended up tripping on roots of trees. After the second time she tripped, Aidan turned around and picked her up. He carried her bridal style, to a small stream. He took a knife and cut a small piece of fabric from the bottom of her dress and dipped it in the stream.
He washed the cloth then lifted it to her face and gently cleaned the blood off of her face. Nadia flinched at first but then enjoyed the feeling of the cool water soothing the pain. "I told you I would help the pain." After all the blood was washed away and her face was clean, Aidan carried her back to the tree, just like he had on the way there. Once they were back at the tree he just sat down against the tree not even bothering to put his slave down. Nadia was now in his lap.
Aidan decided that while they were still alone and his slave was still dazed off of the herbs, now would be a good time to 'have a little fun'. He moved her down so she was laying as she was before. "How are you feeling now, my little slave?" Aidan asked turning her on her back. "I feel better, now. Thank you, Master." They looked at each other for a few minutes until Aidan moved closer until his his lips were on hers. She kissed back, and wrapped her arms around his neck as he put his hands on her waist. They kissed for a few minutes until they separated for air.
"Shall we continue on our way to the next camp?" Aidan says with a smile. Nadia agreed then they both got back on the horse. Nadia was leaning on Aidan's back like always. On the way there, Nadia started to fall asleep. She leaned up against Aidan and drifted to sleep. He was warm and she was cold with the cool with the wind blowing on her. She snuggled into his back as he rode continued the ride to the next camp.
After a while they finally arrived at camp. There was no one there, they had left an hour ago to their new camp, but there was a note left giving instructions and extra information. Aidan got off the horse and picked up Nadia who was still asleep. He was afraid of the drug wearing off so he scooped up a little bowl of the stew they left on the fire. He added the herb then put his slave in his lap and woke her up. He held the food to her mouth she took a bite. He continued feeding her until there was no more in the bowl.
