Mysteries and a kick in the gut

" Come back here Lin!!" I yelled as I ran after her.

" No!! I'm sorry!! But they made me do it!!"

Ok, let's go back a few hours ago. I was in my room, still asleep because it's 5 am and suddenly my phone rang. I tried to ignore but whoever was calling me was persistent.  I became really annoyed and answered the phone.

" Roxy you finally answered!! I was getting worried!" beamed Alex's voice. Now how did he get my phone number?!

"Alex go to sleep," I mumbled before hanging up on him.

The phone rang again.

"WHAT DO YOU WANT?!"

"I can't go to sleep Roxy! Club activities start at 7: 15" laughed Alex. I wish he was in front of me right now so I could punch him.

" What do you mean club activities? Those start next month!"

" Haha, no they don't. Rachel and Amy told me they start today."

I don't know who the second girl is but if Rachel is pulling a prank on Alex I'm going to punch her, then punch Alex for believing her. I hang up on Alex without answering him and went back to sleep. About half an hour later, my phone vibrated, then did a short ring, meaning someone is texting me.

I really valued my sleep time and Lin knew that. If she's the one who gave my number to that airhead then I'm going to kill her. I looked at my phone and was surprised to find that Lin was the one who texted me. Does she have a death wish?!

From Lin:  Wake up Roxy! Alex is right, club activities started yesterday. Rachel just texted us on snapchat.

I called Alex.

" Why do you guys want me up so early?! if club activities start at 7 I'll wake up at 6:15!" I yelled at him.

"Oh! That's my fault! I assumed it took you two hours to get ready," said Alex. "My sister is only 13 and it takes her at least two hours to get ready!"

I groaned and hung up. I looked back at Lin's text. Snapchat? When did she start using that app? I mean I knew she used Instagram, but she never mentioned snapchat. I downloaded the app and created my account. Then I sent a message to Lin.

To Lin:  Here you go my snapchat, add me to your friend's list, then add me to your chat group.

I immediately got notifications from snapchat. I checked the chat group. There was Alex, Tom ( I assumed that's Thomas), Rachel, Lin, Amy, Mark, and Roxy.

I know a few freshmen called Mark but I doubt any of them are into these sort of clubs. I decided to make a good breakfast made of chocolate banana crêpes and a banana smoothie, my mom's specialty, according to what dad says. I got dressed in one of the new outfits my sister had bought me,  slim ripped jeans with white top over them, But it's too cold outside so I decided to wear my school's jacket over it.  My school has a simple dress code. You wear whatever you want, just be sure to always wear the school pin or the school jacket. If someone forgets their pin they need to be sent to the office to get an extra one. Without our school emblem on you, you will be treated as if you never attended this school.

Harsh. Lin forgot hers once and she wasn't even able to enter the school until one of the teachers recognized her.

I texted Lin to check if she's still home, but she replied that she went to school early to help out with cleaning the club room. I decided to go there too. Since the bus only comes every hour, I decided to walk on feet.  When I got there I spotted Lin dragging a table out of a first-floor class.
