FLASHBACK TO A FEW WEEKS AFTER SETH LEFT FOR NEW YORK
ALYSSA'S POV:

I sat on my bed bored out of my mind. Seth was gone, Warren and I were fighting, and Kyla was still very mopey and depressing. But instead of sitting around watching reruns on TV, I decided to call up a group of friends to meet up at Cloudland at 7 o'clock.

I changed out of my fuzzy panda pajama pants and into a new outfit. I decided on a red t-shirt, crop leggings, and black vans. At 6:45 I grabbed my keys, wallet, and phone, and headed out the door.

I arrived a few minutes before 7, and I instantly recognized Warren standing at the ticket booth. I know we hadn't been on good terms, but I decided that a night with friends might help to patch things up.

"Hey, Warren. Where are the others?" I looked around nervously as a cool breeze blew my hair into my face.

"Hey. Um, they said they couldn't make it." He looked even more nervous than I was. "Anyways, should we hit some rides before it gets too dark out?"

I nodded softly as I followed his lead to one of his favorite roller coasters, Mountain Plunge. Basically, the ride went really soft until you hit the highest part, where you then plunged down thirty-five billion feet. I may or may not be exaggerating.

We both got in line and I looked up at the giant coaster. "Hey, Warren. Remember the first time we went on this together?" I laughed and his serious face broke into a small smile.

"You were terrified."

"Was not!" I insisted, although he had to hold my hand the entire ride.

We reminisced in the good 'ole days for awhile and then went on the ride. I had gotten quite used to it over the years, and it was definitely not as scary. We hit up a few more rides, but the sun was setting quickly.

We knew we'd only have time for one or two more rides, so being the stereotypical people we could be, we decided on the Ferris wheel. I thought about the times that Seth and Kyla would come here during their 'fake' relationship. I would use air quotes on the word 'fake', because I, for one, will never believe that that was all an act. There was no way they could fake being in love that well.

There were only about five other people in line, so we were seated on the Ferris wheel immediately. We awkwardly sat across from each other as the ride started.

"I remember the first time we went on THIS ride. I happened to like it a lot better than Mountain Plunge." Warren was the first to break the silence. I cocked my head to the side and bit my lip slightly. "We came to Cloudland for our fifth date. Right here on this Ferris wheel was happened to be the location where I told you I loved you for the first time. Little did I know that I didn't have much more time to say it again." He sighed, avoiding all eye contact with me.

"Warren, I-

"No, Alyssa. I hate to be the prick here, but let me talk. You can be mad at me for talking to other girls and moving on or whatever, but that's a load of crap. You should know that I went out with those girls to get my mind off of you. We dated for two years, Lyss. I can't just let all of that go. How could I? I'm not a tool, or a player, or anything else that you could possibly accuse me of being. I just wanted you. That's honestly all I've been wanting for the past four years." He finally looked up at me.

I didn't know what to do, my mouth was dry and deprived of words. So I did the only thing I wanting to do right there. I kissed him.

We've been dating ever since.
