i knew i'd eventually see the old Cole one of these days, and today happened to be that day.

it all started with Cole in all his glory, strutting into the cafe with a pretty blonde girl. his pants and hoodie outfit was a complete opposite from her short skirt and almost crop top.

he sat down at our table, Ben and Jason giving him a look that i could only describe as a warning. i try to advert my attention but it's hard when the two are practically sucking each others faces off.

but who cares right. ugh.

thank god they got there late and lunch didn't have lots of remaining time, so the nightmare was cut short.

not so fast though, he rolled into math over thirty minutes late with his hoodie and hair slightly messed up and a faint stain of lipstick still prominent on his lips. well more like his whole face.

his smirk said it all.

right now Cole is the last person i'd want to be with, ignorance radiates off him. i'm at my locker getting the last of my books before i'm catching a ride to the shop for my car. schools been out for a bit but thanks to a ray of absents i've taken in light of Eliza's anniversary, detention has kept me longer than normal.

i walk quickly out of the school not wanting to be here any longer than i already have been. i get to he parking lot and stop right in my tracks.

could my day get any worse.

there is Cole leaning against an expensive looking, sleek, black car. the range rover that belongs to Ben is no where in sight.

"where's Ben?" i ask Cole not getting any closer. his head snaps up from his phone. i notice the way he stiffens and his eyes darken when i ask him.

"who cares." he snaps at me. i scrunch my brows together.

"i need to go get my car." i state, Cole rolls his eyes and walks over to the passenger side and opens the door.

"that's why i'm here." he says and gestures with his hand for me to get into the car. i don't want to go with him but i know i don't have any other option, Ben and Jason obviously have gotten Cole to bring me to my car.

i walk to the car, not bothering to make eye contact with him and slip into the car, the emotion on my face is straight from mean girls, acting like i'm bored out of my mind and would rather be anywhere else but here.

after the events i witnessed this morning, Cole is not my favourite person. although the thought of getting to spend some time alone with Ben makes my tummy does the smallest flip.

i keep my head turned, looking out the window. this is going to be a long, quiet ride.

the inside of the car resembles the outside very much, very expensive.

it makes me wonder how these boys can afford all of this stuff, to live on their own even. or if their parents buy this stuff for them, wouldn't that mean they are successful? and have a good job? a job that should be the results of a google search.

something doesn't add up.

"penny for your thoughts?" i turn my head to Cole and see him looking at me, a subtle smirk that is almost a small smile.
