Celine is excited to celebrate her thirteenth birthday because she will travel on her own. She wanted to visit her grandmother in Lucban, Quezon. Her grandmother lives in the town that is famous for the Pahiyasfestival. Her house is located in the place that Celine is steeped in mystery. "Why does grandma live in a place far from the town proper?" Celine asked "I can't believe Grandma
would be staying in that place," she added. "You're thirteen years old now and it's your turn to visit the place where Lola Paz lives,"explaind her mother. "I'm sure you'll enjoy your stay in Lola's place. Food there is delicious and the experiences you'll have will be worth it, Celine," said her sister Gemma. The next day, Celine went with her mother to the bus station in Pasay. Her mother's cousin, Mina, was waiting for them. "Celine, she is your Aunt Mina. She is going to Lucban, too. She will accompany you to your grandmother's place," said her mother. "Goodmorning, Aunt Mina," greeted Celine. The trip to Lucena from Manila takes four to five hours. They rode in an air-conditioned bus and some of the passengers were children of Celine's age traveling with their parents. From the bus terminal in Lucena, Celine and her aunt rode in a jeepney going to her grandmather's place.
An hour later, Celine and her aunt got off the jeepney and waited for her grandma. After a few minutes, she saw her Lola Paz coming, smiling at her. They got into Lola Paz's jeepney. She flicked on the radio and listened its lively music. Celine sang the tune on the radio and to her surprise, her grandma sang along, too.
