"You two... are getting married..."

"Yes, that's what we just told you..." said Hayoon.

"Unbelievable, right, Your Majesty? Hehehe..." said Daniel.

"... the two of you aren't pulling my leg, right?"

"Of course not! That would be... t-too..."

"The word is TREASONOUS, Hayoon." I completed her sentence for her.

"Yeah!... right, that one..."

"Treason?" asked Daniel.

"Why of course! Based from the amendments that were added to our constitution three years ago, regarding the seven royal houses, before marrying, you guys must ask for my consent first before proceeding with marriage preparations. Even so, getting my consent isn't that easy. I need to make sure first that you two are actually going to make this marriage WORK and not have problems, SOON AFTER. Do you both understand that?"

Hayoon and Daniel both nodded.

"If I do give my consent, BUT, you two would cause problems and, I don't know, maybe SPEAK UP about SOMETHING, well, that would mean some TERRIBLE consequences for the two of you. I'm sure you know what I'm talking about, right Hayoon?"

"Y-yes?..."

"What consequences are we talking about here?" Daniel asked.

"She didn't inform you? Well, let's enumerate them, shall we? First, the two of you would automatically lose my consent, next is that you'll both be questioned by the Royal Household and mind you, Sir Jung is a scary person when it comes to serious matters like this, after that, you'll both be summoned to court, that is, the Supreme Court to be tried for treason although if you're both found guilty, I may choose to ask for a lesser sentence for the two of you; I'm sure our friends would ask for that too. Nevertheless, your title and position as a Duchess would be taken away from you and finally, I'm sure the two of you know what would happen to your companies, right?"
