Chapter Twenty-Two

Shit I thought I could play this one off but I can't I need to find a way to get Taylor alone.

"Let's go to the Haunted Mansion" I said knowing that it was only two people to a cart. I decided to send a quick text to Taylor while we walked over to the ride.

tay you need to sit with me on the ride I have to talk to you

"Jess sit with me!" Taylor said running up to me.

"Okay" I said playing it cool. When we got there there was no line.

"What time is the park open till?" I ask.

"1am it has the extra magic hours tonight and the fireworks are at 8 that's probably why the line is so short" Gabby said.

"Let's go watch them when we get off!" Mahogany yelled and we all agreed. Once we hit the front of the line we were escorted into a room with a few other people. A voice started talking and all of a sudden lightning cracked causing me to jump and grab on to who ever was next to me.

"That was the funniest thing ever" Hayes laughed wrapping his arms around me. I rolled my eyes at him even thought he couldn't see me. After the little show thingy we went towards the ride. I found Taylor and we went in front of everyone. I went into the 'doom buggy' first followed by Taylor. once we got farther away from the start I showed him the text.

"A knows about that to" I said.

"Are you sure their not talking about Avery?" He asked.

"Im almost positive this is the only thing that I hadn't gotten a text about until now" I sighed.

"You don't hate me do you?" Taylor asked.

"I could never Tay, we made a mistake that's all" I said and he handed me my phone back.

"A has to be someone that was there that night" I said shaking my head.

"For all we know it could be Avery messing with are heads and is somehow getting revenge" He laughed.

"She dead not alive" I snapped taking it to personally.

"Im sorry" I said to Taylor who engulfed me into a side hug.

"It's ok it was my fault I shouldn't have said that" He said squeezing me the letting go.

"I think im going to tell Hayes what happened with her tomorrow" I said and he nodded.

"I think you should tell him about this also" Taylor suggested.

"Do you want him to break up with me?" I said rolling my eyes.

"Hey it wouldn't be the worst thing in the world" Taylor shrugged. We got off the ride and waited for the others. When we got off we made our way to the castle to watch the fireworks. I sat down on a bench and Hayes plopped down next to me putting his arm around me. I hated this. I hated knowing that he won't ever want to see my face after he realizes that I lied to him. I hate myself for even lying in the first place.

"You ok? You zoned out there for a second" Hayes asked me breaking my train of thought.

"Yeah I'm fine" I said forcing a smile. All of a sudden the fireworks started.
