Lilly's P.O.V
"p-please hank don't let her die....." I hear alexa crying
"i'm tryin doll but she's lost a lotta blood" I hear some raspy voice say
I cant move but I can hear everything. A lot of talking
"who is she?"
"is she gonna be alright?"
"need help hank??"
Hank?? OH GOD A MAN IS TOUCHING ME!! I try to move but I cant. I feel a prick in my arm
"she will sleep for a lil while but it should help stop the bleeding" hank says
I fall into a deep sleep.
3 HOURS LATER
I slowly open my eyes and I'm hit with the smell of cigarettes and talking. I feel some type of fabric under my hands. I look and see its a blanket with a snake on it. I get up and I feel a fuzzy carpet under my feet. I look down and see its green. I slowly begin to walk to where I hear talking when I hear her voice.
"i don't know when" she sounds agitated
I'm about to say something when someone cuts me off
"but alexa she needs to know your a serpent" says topaz
my blood runs cold. Serpents. My mom warned me about them......
"i cant let her know. Hell her parents probably warned her of us and made her think we are horrible people!!" she yells
"well about that........her last name is Anderson........her mom......her mom was linda Anderson.........her mom used to be a serpent alexa...."
oh my god......what?!?!?!
"besides I know you like her and if she really does like you then she should accept you for you. You can tell her we only kill pedophiles and people that deserve to die. We only rob because no one wants to do service with us! she will understand" says topaz
so many things are running through my head. If I tell alexa about my dad they will kill him and me and my mom will have no where to go!! And is ash a serpent?!?! i'm so confused!!
"i do like her topaz.......she is just so innocent and her smile makes me feel something. Something that bitch melony never did. Mel only wanted my money,sex or my gang but lilly is so different. Lilly cares about me. And when we talk its like i'm a open book. She listens to every word I say. She gets so captivated by everything and she is a little. My lil lilly......" she sighs
I peak my head around and see her crying
"hey doll don't you cry. I'm sure she loves ya I know I do kiddo" says a tall man with brown hair down to his shoulders
"i would hope so you took me in" she says sighing
"and I don't regret it! your old man does love ya somewhere down deep. You shoulda seen him with ya when you was a little one. always showin you off and saying you were his little alexa. but your mom came back and poisoned his mind with them beers. But i've sworn to treat ya as my own and I have. You've done great at this gang and always there for people. We all love ya" he says smiling
"TO ALEXA!!" says a bunch of people and take drinks from beers
she smiles slightly
"i should go check in on her" she says and I tip toe fast back into bed and get under the covers
she slowly comes in
"hey lilly you awake??" she asks
I slowly roll over pretending to just wake up
"yeah where am I??" I ask
"this place is called the Whyte Wyrm. Its a place me and my friends hangout" she says sitting down next to me
"you mean you and your gang......." I say hesitantly
I feel her tense up beside me and take in a breath
"yeah...." she says trailing off
"you know my parents did warn me but you've shown me how you're the complete opposite of what people say you and your gang. You guys seem like a family" I say smiling
she hugs me out of nowhere and I hug her back
"can you tell me more about this gang please....?" I ask
She smiles big and nods
" we are more of a family in my eyes then a gang. We are here for each other. We do have rules.
1. A serpent never shows cowardice/No serpent stands alone
2. If a serpent is killed or imprisoned,their family will be taken will be taken care of
3. No serpent is left for dead
4. A serpent never betrays its own
5.In unity,there is strength
We have initiations like if your a guy first you must take care of Hot Dog. He is our dog. Second you must recite all laws of being a serpent. Third you must retrieve a knife from a rattlesnake cage showing no fear the final is being beaten by every member of The Serpents and still get up. However if your a girl you have to dance the traditional Serpent dance on a pole. I hate it but it's tradition. We do kill people but only pedophiles and abusers. Scum of the earth. When push comes to shove we all have each other's backs. If you pass them all you get a leather jacket with our logo on it."
She shows me and my eyes go wide
"Many parents think we are horrible because a few serpents weren't good. But we kicked them out......" she looks down
"My right hand is hank. He knew my dad before my mom came back into my life. Granted what he's done to me is unforgivable but he wasn't always like this. When my mom left he started drinking but then the serpents had his back and got him better. He started to me himself. Then my mom came back and all the hurt came back and he started drinking and doing drugs and just went downhill. I feel like my mom is against him. I don't know how but I feel like she is. Our gang tries to keep drugs out of this place. But our rival gang the Ghoulies they bring drugs in here. They are violent and dangerous. The only thing they bond on is drugs. Drugs and sex. We would die for each other and our bonds run deep."
"Hey doll we gotta get her home it's gettin late" says hank
She nods
"We do have to get you home." She says
I pout. I don't want them to leave me. I feel safe here.
"Come On it's good you feel safe here because you are. But you do have to go home" she says helping me up
I guess I said it out loud
Alexa's P.O.V
I laugh to myself that she thinks I didn't hear her say she feels safe here. Serpent blood runs through her veins. She belongs in this gang. This is her home. But.......she can't. Her mom wouldn't allow her. Fucking her......she flirted with everyone. Broke everyone's heart. Brought drugs in. Caused fights and drama. Almost breaking us up until my dad put a stop to it. I take her hand and take her over to the closet with her clothes. I hand them to her and turn around as she changes. She says done and I put on her shoes. She smiles down at me and takes my hand.
"We are gonna go past all the members ok? They might have questions but you don't have to answer any ok"
She nods
"I don't wanna" she whispers and I nod
We walk out and I see a few members smile and I glare at them playfully.
"Well hello there kiddo." Says hank
She tenses up and hides behind me.
He walks over and she starts to Shake. I've only seen that in girls who are being sexually abused.......is she......no she would tell me. I shake my head at hank and he backs away. I pick her up and walk her out. I sit her on my bike and hand her my helmet. She giggles and puts it on. I put mine on and grab her hands
"Just hold onto my waist ok?" I say and she nods holding onto me
We bike to her house which isn't far. I stop and see no lights on. She sighs and walks away. I try to stop her but she shrugs me off and runs inside. What's happening in there?
Lilly's P.O.V
I step inside and realize my mom is sleep and chad is awake. He stops me
"Where have you been?"
"O-out with a f-friend" I say shaking
He slowly creeps up to me
"Go to bed. Tomorrow your mine. Your mom will be out. So after school your mine." He says smirking
I run up to my room and cry. Why can't he leave me alone?! What did I do?! I just fall asleep. I wish Alexa was my mommy but I don't wanna move to fast. God she makes me happy
