Adrien's POV

"Ugh, get away from me you filthy swine!" I snapped at the servant girl that stood before me. Right away she scurried away like a sniveling rat. None of these servants could please me, with their pleading eyes and depressing frowns. They just made me more irritated the more time they stayed around me. They are all just bribes from my parents to get married to a snobbish rich girl with equally wealthy arrogant parents.

To clear my head of my thoughts about my parents, I stepped outside to smell the sweet summer air. No one ever knew this, but I had always loved the fragrant cherry blossom smell that lingered throughout the air all year long. They were like little angel kisses floating through the air ever so gently, descending from the heavens above.

The castle courtyard was covered with the tiny gifts and made the place seem cheerful and pleasant. Usually people thought of me as a selfish bastard, which I am, but I had a soft spot for cherry blossoms. Yes I have turned away girls day and night and treated my servants like they were trash, but I have a heart too. A heart no one will get to see except for me.

All of a sudden, I heard a sweet melody in the distance. It sounded like a songbird, elegant and ever so beautiful. I quickly whipped my head around to discover nothing. I walked around searching for whoever or whatever was making that sound, and the realized it was coming from outside the castle walls. I heard a shout and dashed into the open to find nothing but villagers bustling about.
