In this world
Of mice and men
We claim to know
Yet don't care to find

Some people starve
Some people suffer
And each day
Falls another

We watch the conflict
We watch the sick
The problems are shouted
Caught by dull ears

Like parrots
People repeat
Yet no one cares
To find a way to defeat

Do we have right to judge
When we simply watch
Do we have right to speak
When we do not partake

The news is a lie
That people will buy
And no one will try
To fix what isn't right

But in these perils
There are a few
Those who help
Those who serve

Worldwide they gather
To hope together
For a future that's brighter
And work for each other

So many of us
Are willing to watch
So many of us
Are willing to wait

What we don't see
Through porcelain pain
Is the good that comes
As our small part's gain.
