In this world
Of mice and men
We claim to know
Yet don't care to findSome people starve
Some people suffer
And each day
Falls anotherWe watch the conflict
We watch the sick
The problems are shouted
Caught by dull earsLike parrots
People repeat
Yet no one cares
To find a way to defeatDo we have right to judge
When we simply watch
Do we have right to speak
When we do not partakeThe news is a lie
That people will buy
And no one will try
To fix what isn't rightBut in these perils
There are a few
Those who help
Those who serveWorldwide they gather
To hope together
For a future that's brighter
And work for each otherSo many of us
Are willing to watch
So many of us
Are willing to waitWhat we don't see
Through porcelain pain
Is the good that comes
As our small part's gain.
