You once said you loved my anger
Oh how I knew it would come to bite
I fell asleep in tears
After painting you last night
I know that I have hurt you
Above all my greatest wrong
Oh what would I give to the world
To hear you sing another song
My heart truly aches
For my words spoken in spite
For, you see, my words were a building fear
That I kept locked up tight
I worried how true our love could be
Second and aching second
It was proved its worth was clear to see
But the cracking twig had snapped
You said you loved my anger
You knew I would regret
Oh, how I curse that anger!
For I still love you yet...
