Third Person's P.O.V
Thomas had driven his car a little bit faster than usual, he had been eager to return home from work and it was not for no reason. That day was his wedding anniversary, he and his wife Roxanne had been married for over eight years, and most people said a couple's honeymoon phase would disappear after a year or so but in their case, there never seemed to be such a thing. It was like their marriage was filled with magic, and it was true. Thomas was like a teenage boy in love every single day with his wife, he knew she was the one the moment he met her on the art exhibition a few years back. she was four years younger than him, but he had looked so much older than her then thanks to his past history of being an alcoholic. When he talked to her he realized they shared a lot of similarity, but she had this domineering aura surrounding her, an aura of power, and she was not afraid to show it to him.
He realized she was just perfect for him. He proposed to her one night at the beach they went to and to his surprise she said yes. He could not have been happier. That day he swore he would never disappoint her and he had not broken his promise since then. He never once got mad at her, even when she shouted at him or threw tantrums, he would only sit back and accept whatever she wanted to do with him and she would eventually calmed down on her own. He would never dare to get angry at her, nor did he dare to argue with her. He knew having her was already the greatest blessing on his life and he did not want to be an ungrateful man. She was his most precious thing, and he belonged to her.
When he arrived at home, his wife was not at home, and it was perfect. He had intended to surprise her, which was why he took an early leave that day. He still had around two hours to do a few works before Roxanne came back, so he did a little bit of cleaning and prepared for a romantic dinner at their backyard. Then with the few little time he had, he went to his room and took a few things he knew she would use later on. He put on a nicer piece of clothing and waited for her in front of the door. His heart was thumping loudly when he heard the sound of her car being parked, and the clicking sound of her heels entered the front yard. The door was twisted open and Roxanne stepped into the house.
The first sight she saw was her husband kneeling in front of the door, with his eyes tied on the floor. Usually she was the one to get home first, so seeing her husband before her was something unusual on weekdays, but she was fast to understand the situation, and decided to play along with it. She looked around and saw the house was a bit cleaner than usual, and she also smelled a delicious scent on the air. She was a bit proud of her husband, though she would never admit it to him. At least he was dedicated to her. That was something she always appreciated.
"Rise, Pet" her voice was soft and sultry, Thomas rose as commanded, still lowering his eyes, Roxanne gave her another command.
"Look at me, Pet, and tell me what you have in store for me"
"Mistress Roxanne" he said. His voice was filled with excitement.
"Tonight is our wedding anniversary, and I wanted to have dinner with you, and-" he stopped mid sentence, he was a bit worried if she thought he was not being genuine if he asked her he wanted to play that night, after all, it was not on their schedule and she had never promised anything to him. Last year for their wedding anniversary they did not play at all, they only went for a fancy dinner at a restaurant and took a walk around the neighborhood after watching a movie. That year however, he wanted more.
"And what ?" She raised her eyebrow.
"I hope we can play tonight, Mistress"
"My, What a demanding, and selfish pet you are" his heart shrieked when she said those words. He was about to apologize when she continued.
