Chapter 7: Tomato

Lyric and I walked to the area where the merch is, seeing as we had an hour until the show started. I got a motionless in white shirt that says 'fuck your pretty face!' a DRUGS bracelet and an Alesana CD. Lyric got a MIW shirt that says "what the fuck!" an asking Alexandria CD and an Alesana bracelet. We ran down the stairs near the exit to the smoking patio to get changed into our shirts. After that we had about 15 minutes until DRUGS came on so we decided to go smoke, well more like me smoke and lyric tell me it's bad and all that blah blah blah shit. We walked out and there's only a couple people out here because most of the people at this show are very young. I light up a cig and start smoking it, anxious to get back inside and mosh.
"hey you know that's bad for you." a voice said from behind us, making me jump. He had his stage makeup stuff on, and damn he's attractive, even in makeup.
"oh shut up Ricky! You smoke too. And you nearly gave me a heart attack! "
"sorry! And you know I was kidding"
Ricky took out a cigarette and lit it.
I finished mine and said bye to Ricky and started walking inside when he grabbed my shoulder, I turned around and gave him a questioning look.
"stay out here with me! "
It wasn't a question, it was a demand.
"Gah. Fine, but if I miss part of DRUGS' set I'm gonna kill you! go
Get us a good spot Ly.(lee)"
"dont call me Ly!! I hate that nickname. But sure I'll go get us a spot."
Lyric ran inside and Ricky and I talked about some random things like moshing and going to shows when we got on the topic of touring.
"I've always wanted to go on tour, as a merch girl or in a band, but I never got the opportunity to start a band or be a merch girl."
"what instrument do you play?"
"I play bass and I sing a little and play piano."
His eyes widened and he looked really interested. Just then I heard the crowd screaming from inside. DRUGS was about to go on!
"I'm gonna miss DRUGS set!!"
"okay! I'm gonna watch from backstage, you can come if you want, but I know you wanna mosh.."
"I'm gonna mosh, meet me here after drugs set if you wanna talk more..."
"Okay darling"
I blushed a light shade of pink, he's so sweet. I was about to run inside when Ricky kissed my cheek and I swear I was as red as a tomato. He chuckled and I looked at him and said "later" then ran inside and into the pit with lyric just as drugs came on stage. They started playing Mr.Owl Ate My Metal Worm, which is one of my favorite songs of theirs , and I went crazy in the pit.
I looked up at the stage when the song finished and I saw Ricky and Balz standing backstage watching me mosh. And now I'm blushing. Fuck! I usually never blush, Ricky just never fails to make me blush. I decided to pretend like they aren't even there but I knew they were.
Drugs played 4 more songs and I moshed my heart out. Then Matt Good's voice was filling the venue.
"SPLIT THIS SHIT DOWN THE MIDDLE, I WANT A HUGE WALL OF DEATH. "
The crowd parted and got ready to run at the other side. I was right in the front, ready as FUCK for this. Lyric looked scared. I nudged her with my elbow and smiled at her, reassuring her that it's gonna be fine.
