Wonderland

Branna stood in front of the tiny mirror, dirt marring her reflection. Her pale features were  quite noticeable against the dim lighting. She heard gentle footsteps heading into the little log cabin and she let a small smile form in her pink lips.

"Yes! Finally somewhere that's dark! The brightness outside is excruciating." A deep male voice said. Branna turned around to face the young man.

"Hello to you too, Jasper." Branna smiled at him. Jasper was fairly tall, with shoulder length dirty blonde hair, he had, unlike Branna, tanned skin and grey eyes. He moved forward towards her, gracefully and picked her up at the waist.

"So, how's my elderly birthday girl?" He asked as he planted a sweet kiss on her lips.

Branna rolled her eyes playfully. "Shut up, you're going to be 18 too in a few weeks."

"Mmhmm, Grandma." He laughed.

"Okay, that just weird. And wrong."

He raised his eyebrows at me. "Okay, Ms.Dirty Mind, I got you something."

I smiled at him as he reached in his pocket, after setting me back down on the ground. He pulled out a little leather sack, and handed it to me.

"Open it. I think you'll like it."

Branna carefully opened the small pouch revealing a shimmering little bean. She stared wide eyed at the bean. "It's, a, a, ma-"

Jasper cut her off. "Yup, a magic bean. Cost me my mum's guitar, but it was worth it. I know how much you hate Wonderland, and frankly, I do too, so let's get out of here! This shall be our last night in Wonderland!"

Branna just stood there with her mouth wide open like an idiot. She was speechless. Branna was taken in by Jasper and his mum (his dad died when he was a baby). But Jasper's mum got ill and died when they were 9, so they lived alone together since. The only thing he had from his mum, besides, her house, was that guitar.

Jasper just smiled, knowing very well that she loved his gift.

"Thank you!" Branna kissed him passionately. Before long she was pressed against the wall with Jasper pressed against her front. He was starting to slide his hand up her leg.

"Wait. Jasper, stop."

But he didn't stop.

"Jasper, I don't want to, right now."

But he didn't listen.

"Get off of me!" She tried to push him off her but he didn't budge. "Please!" He pushed her harder, painfully hard, against the wall, and slid his hand higher up her thigh.

She pushed him again. This time, however, a burst of red light, magic, shot him back, sending him crashing into the table.

She stared down at her hands. What the hell just happened? Was that, was that magic?

When Jasper got up he had a large bruise forming on his face and his grey eyes darkened to charcoal. "You bitch! Get your shit and get the hell out of my house."
