The days had blurred by for many people once the battle had ended. Yes, Voldemort had died, but so had many other who didn’t deserve it. Hermione couldn’t believe Tonks, Lupin and Fred were all gone. Every time she thought about it, it hit her so hard, she’d often burst into tears. Two days had passed, and to her it always felt like the morning after.

Hermione had arranged to stay at the Burrow, and for now she was going to help the Weasley’s with holding the funerals. Tonks mom was also helping, she had come by today and was sitting with Mrs. Weasley at a table, discussing something quietly. None of them had actually planned for the three people to die, so they had nothing prepared. Ginny and Hermione were the ones left to watch Teddy while they planned.

The feeling in this house was so…disconsolate. Hermione couldn’t help but think, as she carried a laundry basket full of Harry and Ron’s clothes. She headed to their room, hoping they’d be more cheerful. As she walked in she noticed that only Ron sat on his bed, staring at the ceiling. She headed over placing the laundry basket down, and pulling out her wand, she used a simple spell to put all the clothes in their spots.

She turned to look at Ron, who was watching her. She noticed a look in his eyes. They broke her heart. He looked so sad. Spaced out. Not the usually Ron. “Ron.” She said, sitting on his bed, “I…I’m so sorry.”

She had hardly talked to him since the battle, yes she had spoken with him, but that was before the death of Fred really sunk in. “Don’t be.” He said, sitting up, he never broke eye contact.

“Ron,” she said, “I don’t like seeing you like this. What can I do to help?”

He shook his head, his red hair falling into his eyes the way she loved. Her heat skipped a beat. “Hermione…just,” he gave her a smile, “be here for me. At the funeral, when I go completely nuts, be here for me…forever.”

                She watched him intently, “Forever?”

He smiled, the smile she loved so much, the smile that she hadn’t seen in a while. “Like…”

She blushed, “Ron, I’ve got to go help your mother, I’ll see you at—” She had rose to leave, but he grabbed her arm, “my girlfriend. Be…er…um…ah…”

“Yes.” She cried, a smile spreading across her face. “Yes, Ronald Weasley I will be your girlfriend.”

She could’ve sworn his smile had never been so big. His eyes twinkled with something new. “Good. Great. Totally awesome.”

She blushed now, “I’m going to…”

                “Yeah, yeah.”

She made her way downstairs, not afraid to let a smile break across her face. She couldn’t believe it. After all this time, she finally could call herself Ron Weasley’s girlfriend. She was so lost in thought she didn’t notice the person in front of her until she ran into them. “Hermione?” Ginny said, Teddy in her arms, and Harry behind her. “What are you so happy about?”

She squealed, and Harry said, “Finally?”

“Finally. I didn’t know if it was official after the…kiss…so I wasn’t sure. I think Ron wasn’t sure either.”

Harry and Ginny had the biggest smiles on their faces. “I’m so happy for you! Maybe one day we’ll be sister-in-laws!”

Hermione blushed, but grinned, “That would be amazing.”

“And maybe one day Ron and I will be brother-in-laws.”

“Don’t get your hopes up,” Ron said, suddenly appearing behind Hermione.

Harry and Ron shared a look, before Hermione took Teddy into her arms. “So cute!” she cooed.

“He’s yours now,” Ginny said, “I’ve had my hour.”

                Hermione laughed, “I’m going downstairs.”

Ron followed behind her calling out to Harry and Ginny to not do what he was thinking they would. Hermione smiled as the entered the kitchen. Tonks’s mom and Mrs. Weasley looked worn out and tired. “Then it’s done. Everything’s done.”

“You’ve finished…” Hermione asked, looking between the stressed too.

                “Yep, the day after tomorrow.”

Hermione nodded feeling her chest tighten, that feeling spreading through her again. They were gone. Forever. She looked out the window, watching as the garden gnomes they had gotten rid of early tried to sneak back into the garden. She felt as if she could never get over their deaths.

Okay, yes it's short. I know. I have some total writers block. I'm also pretty sure that British people don't say totally awesome. Unless you're a Starkid fan. So...that was a Starkid reference. Anyways, you have no clue how hard it was for me to right this. I was originally going to have the funeral in it as well, but I lost my mojo hard, and was like, "what am I doing, this all sounds horrible." so I cut it off!

BUT, I still wrote, so here ya go! I hoped you enjoyed it! Sorry for any mistakes! Its midnight!
