The Return of The End

Intro to the end

Many people make it a priority to do good in their life. However, good intentions don't always yield good results. The End started with a single man who wanted to do good in the world, but ultimately left it with a bigger problem.

Dick Sanchez, otherwise known as Patient Zero, was the cause of the End. It started with an offer to try a medication and that was supposed to cure cancer, and as a brain cancer patient with not much time left, he figured he had nothing to lose. After a couple of days of taking this medication, his symptoms became worse and he fell extremely ill. Rather than going to the doctors for help, he gave up his fight accepted this nasty result as a welcome way of dying. Rick never received this craved release.

Late one night, he had the strange urge to get out of bed. Out of his house. As he moved through the halls, he woke his young daughter, a light sleeper. She asked after her father, worried to see him out of bed, especially at the time of night. Rick looked at his six-year-old daughter, and suddenly was filled with the insane need to kill. He couldn't help himself; he was desperate to fulfill this longing that seemed to capture his every thought and feeling. With almost no hesitation, he lunged for his daughter and ripped her throat out, her scream lasting just milliseconds. Rick's need was satisfied, but just for a moment. He continued out of his house and into the city. Neither alive nor dead, his mind was focused on accomplishing one purpose, and every person he met got the full brunt of his want.

This man's infection spread throughout his hometown within the following day, the state within a week, and by the time a month had passed the whole world was introduced to this virus. The End had begun, and only a little less than one percent of the population remained unturned.
