Flashback (April 5, 2017)
"Ladies and gentleman, we are now approaching MNL where the local time is 08:40, 10 minutes ahead of the scheduled arrival. For your safety and comfort, please remain in your seats with your seatbelts firmly fastened until the captain turns off the Fasten Seat Belt Sign....
Omg, Here I come! The whole family is on this flight to Manila. Business class, a first for the whole extended family. Dadalhin kami ni Tita Serafina, 40, younger sister ni dad to Ilocos bago magout-of-the-country. Treat nila ng husband niya. Our mini escape after the stressful weekend.
"On behalf of SKY Airways and the entire crew, I'd like to thank you for joining us on this trip and we are looking forward to seeing you on board again in the near future. Salamat Kadyaw."
Lahat ng tao ay kanya-kanya nang kumuha ng mga gamit nila and got out fast. Gutom na ang lahat. We weren't able to eat much for breakfast kasi 7 am yung flight namin from Butuan to Manila tapos sabi ni Mommy atleast two hours before our departure nandoon na kami airport.
Madali lang naman yung flight so I spent an hour and a half listening to music sa iPod na bigay ni tita Sera.
This is so exciting though. First Family flight out of the country ko at seventeen tapos all-expense paid trip pa. After a few minutes of ransacking and hunting nakita narin nila Tita Christine, 39, mom's younger sister yung luggage nila ng husband niya at little cousin kong si Rafael.
I looked around for some familiar faces only to see six tall guys in leather jackets. Leather jackets? Hahaha ang init sa pinas naka leather? Gago! Oh and something else caught my eyes they had our last names in huge iPads.
Sosyal. Hindi na cardboard yung template. Electronic na talaga. There, our last names were. Alvizo, Cepeda and Ty family. That's us.
Palapit kami doon sa mga nagsisita-asang lalaki and one of the guys was talking to himself. Aba baliw. Wait, may earpiece pala.
"Family!" a jolly and heaven-like voice travelled through the medium fast and loud. That my friends, is my aunt, Serafina. She was sporting a Dolce and Gabbana Jacquard Pantsuit paired with killer heels na pinagmumukha siyang model.
That's what I call her.
" what the hell was that?" maarteng tanong ni Rafael, the witty and savage nine year old cousin of mine.
"Chi! You cute lil pig!" (Kai ang pronounciation niyan) I squinted my eyes to clear my vision. May unggoy na tuma-tawa tawa sa di kalayuan.
