"Good Morning, Grumpy."
Ainsley greeted Charlie as he found her stabbing her eggs with her fork one morning, it was supposed to be a happy day, it was Halloween and Halloween unlike most kids(who liked Christmas) was Charlie's favourite holiday mainly because it consisted of her stuffing her face with far too many candies and chocolate.
Even though it resulted in her being sick the next day.
"Shut up." Charlie replied as she continued to stab them.
"So, what's with the bright mood?" The boy asked as he prepared a breakfast plate for himself.
"Nothing, today is Halloween and usually I -"
"Oh no no, that is not going to work again, it worked last time, it's not going to work again," Ainsley said as he pointed his fork at her. Every year Charlie had managed to make at least one candy on Halloween with a few defects which didn't necessarily do any harm(like turn his face or hair blue or grow his teeth abnormally large), things which weren't out of Madam Pomfrey's mending skills and Ainsley didn't have any problem with it until last year, why?
Because unlike this year, previous years Halloween fell on weekends and hence it would be okay for Ainsley to not show his face to anyone for two days. But now as it was a school day he wasn't going to take a risk of either colouring himself nor missing a school day.
"You don't even know what I am going to say."
"Oh I know what you are going to say, 'Please try this, pretty please.' I know I am pretty but it is not going to work."
"Are you two breaking up?" They both looked up to see Fred and George Weasley standing there with a smile on their faces.
"Why are you two breaking up-" Fred started.
"You seem such a cute couple." Goerge ended.
"Oh shut up, you two."
"Not so happy to see us, Densmore."
"Why do you keep insisting on poking your nose in other people's business?" Ainsley questioned the Twins. After the Twins' first interaction with Charlie on the train, they refused to leave her side and it didn't matter how many times she told them to leave her alone it all went to deaf ears.
"Aww, are you jealous Any winy," George said as he pinched Ainsley's cheeks who swatted his arms almost hitting Fred in the face.
"Oh, do shut up." Charlie finally said.
"Are we irritating you?" Fred and George asked together as Fred took a seat next to her, too close if you ask Charlie.
"No, so what did we do that we are having the pleasure of you joining us for breakfast?" She asked Fred before scooting a little away from him.
"Pleasure, huh, more like torture," Ainsley said under his breath which thankfully nobody heard.
"Oh, nothing thought we would just you know-"
"Spend some time with you."
"Why?" Ainsley questioned them.
"Not you, I am talking to Miss Lovely over here and may I say you are looking quite beautiful today," Fred said as he winked at her which caused a light sweep of blush to spread over her cheeks.
"Stop with-" Charlie said but was cut off by her best friend who didn't seem very happy that the Twins were around them, nearly all the time. Little did he know they were going to stick around for a much much longer time.
"Nonsense."
"Aww, you jealous Any Winy, you are looking quite cute too today," George said as he proceeded to once again pinch his cheeks, while Fred and Charlie watched in amusement.
"So what do you want to talk about?" Charlie whispered to Fred as they watched George and Ainsley bicker which left the brown hair boy flustered and the ginger-haired boy amused.
"I said what I wanted to say," Fred whispered back.
"And that was?"
"You are looking quite beautiful today, Miss Densmore."
