Kenna's PoV
I turn around as Adrian follows me to the door.
"You might want to have a shower and get dressed," I say noting the fact that he's wearing the same clothes,"there's some spare clothes in the wardrobe upstairs."
"Oh...right!" He replies before scuttling back upstairs.
I lazily slip on my boots which I'd placed beside the wall and open the door, the brass doorknob is cold on my hand.
A chilling wind bites my face as I step outside, carefully shutting the door behind me, which makes a satisfying 'click'. Sitting down, the slightly damp grass tickles the bare parts of my crossed legs. I reach into my pocket, this time I grab my iPod, my earphones are still plugged in them. I untangle the knot of wires and slip the buds into my ears, this time Abba blasts through at full possible volume.

A low rumbling sound calls down the road. I pause super trouper and take the earphones out of my ears hastily, as two floating headlights slowly make their way into the car park on the other side of the stream, stopping and switching off in a free parking slot.
I stand up as two figures (both boys) step out of nowhere, though in the same parking slot as the headlights. The first to appear dons a leather jacket, skinny jeans and has hair dyed a fierce scarlet red, an unsettling scowl is set on his face. The other boy has blonde hair dyed a light blue at the ends, unlike his peer, his expression is calm and neutral; trendy tortoise shell framed glasses bob on his nose.
"Heya Kenna!" Calls the blonde one, as the two make their way over the slippery bridge.
"Hi Luke," I call back, returning the friendly smile he gives me...the red one continues to scowl.
"Why the long face Jack?" I ask raising my eyebrows, as they stop in front of the cottage.
"You interrupted my date! I was finally getting somewhere as well!" Jack snarls.
"Jeeeez! Such a drama queen!" I roll my eyes,"Anyway, Christie is so not your type! Stop 'experimenting' and wasting girls times and just accept that you're-"
"Do not say it!" He whispers, his voice going dangerously low,"Surely you've read the books Kenna, my kind don't look kindly on those who are..." He shivers and makes a disgusted sound.
"Ohh Kay. Changing the subject...where is this friend of yours?" Luke intercepts.
"Oh he should be down in a-"
I'm interrupted by the sound of the door opening behind me.
"God! Who's clothes are these Kenna? They're ginormous!" Adrian complains, tugging at the hem of the top he's wearing which is indeed way to big on him.
"You!" Jack spits, his eyes meeting Adrian's,"THIS is your 'friend' Kenna! Do you even know how much danger he is to your kind?!"
A sudden bubbling of anger at both Jack and myself surges over me, I forgot to tell them that my supposed 'friend' was one of the worlds most wanted criminals.
