As soon as the meeting got over, I went over to Paul who was already grinning at me at this point. "Did you know about this?", I asked.

"Well it was me who suggested your name. Mr. Smith wanted Claudia to go for the project but I told them you would be a better fit. I don't understand what or why you love these Korean boys but I know that you do. I thought it would make you happy"

Wow. I did not see that coming. I never thought Paul would so such a thing for me, I mean, we've only known each other for three weeks but I was touched when he said that. And I guess you could tell by my voice because when I mumbled a faint "thank you", it came out softer than I expected. After that, I quickly went to my desk, grabbed my purse and my jacket and left for house. I had a lot of packing to do.

Back at home, my entire wardrobe was laid out on my  bed and there was I, sitting on floor still unsure of what to pack. I quickly decided to google the climate of Seoul to determine if I needed to pack fluffy jackets or denim shorts or both. It showed that it was summer time in Seoul so I ditched all my hoodies and jumpers and packed in a few jeans, some t-shirts and light jackets. By the time I was done, I looked at the clock and it was already midnight. I knew sleeping at this point was of no use since I would have to leave for the airport in an hour and  half. So instead, I took the mason jar beside my bed and took out the piece of paper that read "See BTS live.  This was my 'wish jar'- in here were all my wishes and dreams written on pieces of paper that I hoped to one day fulfill. And each time I did, I would take out that paper and toss it in the bin. As the chits would get fewer, I knew I was on the right path living my best life and achieving my dreams. Glancing at that paper which read "See BTS live", I still couldn't believe all this was happening. I had been saving for months to buy their concert tickets but who knew I would be presented with this golden opportunity to not just see them months prior to the concert but also to INTERACT with them. Everything suddenly seemed so surreal. I quickly reached for the drawer and pulled out my most recent and cherished purchase-The Love Yourself: Tear album. I took out the photo book and glanced at their beautiful faces. His especially.

I've been a Bangtan trash since their 'Run' era. I remember how my friend had sent me a link of some other K-POP group  and told me to check the out because they were "hella cute". I did check them out but to the disappointment of my friend, did not end up liking it much. When the video she sent me had ended playing, I noticed in the 'Up Next' section, there was a video titled 'Run' by some band called BTS. I clicked on it not knowing what to expect. At the end of 7 minutes and 31 seconds, I knew I had found my group. There was one guy in particular who had caught my attention. But I didn't know their names yet. So for the next few hours, I put on my research glasses and tried to gather as much info as I could. Of course I found out his name. Kim SeokJin. As a true army, I have had phases where  all 7 of them has been my biases for a period of time but somehow I always end up rooting for Jin just a bit more. Something about him always tends to pull me....

My midnight reverie was cut short by the loud ringing of my phone. I picked up to hear Paul shouting at the other end, "Where are you? if you don't make it in 20 minutes, we're gonna miss our flight!" "I-I will be there soon. Bye". I quickly hung up the call and glanced at the clock. It was 1:15 AM. Shit. I was very late. I grabbed my bag, my passport, locked the house and left for the airport.
