Tessa's POV: "Of course" I smiled back at him. A couple minutes later we get to the school, when we both get out of the car everyone is staring at us. I never get attention like this, I've always kept to myself. I looked over to Grayson, and he automatically came to my side of the car, he closed my door and whispered in my ear, "Tessa, it's okay, I'm right here." He placed he hand on the small of our back as we made our way to the field. I still haven't told him that I won't be playing, but I'll let coach tell him. "It'll meet you at the field babe?" "Yeah that sounds good gray," I get cut off by his lips being pressed on mine. I was shocked at first, but I melted into the kiss. It started off innocent, but quickly got heated as he slowly moved his hands down to my lower back, just as mine snaked into his hair. I bite his lip lightly and tug it as I pull away. "Bye babe, I'll see you in a couple of minutes", I say as I smirk at him while walking backwards into the lockeroom. I get changed in to some workout clothes, then ran out to the field.

Coach was already there just making some small talk to some players, and Grayson was talking to Ethan and a couple of their friends. "And there she is! My new assistant coach," Coach says as he introduces me. Grayson looks over at me confused and mouths
"What is he talking about?" "You'll see"
"So, Tessa has decided not to play, but instead will help coach. I agree with her decision because I know she can whip your asses into shape." "I'm not that bad, but to be clear, this is going to be a hard season. You guys need to grow as a team, and that's what I'm here for," I announce.
Coach has them start their warm up, and starts to talk to me about how my family is doing and what I've been up to. I told him about Grayson and I's arrangement. Apparently, our dads already talked to him last night, he was actually surprised at how well we were getting along compared to yesterday's practice. But, I just told him that we talked it out and realized that we're not that different from each other. Pretty soon the boys finish up, and Coach separates them into groups for practice. Grayson is the only quarterback so I get to help him one on one. "Hi baby," he greets me with a kiss on the cheek. "Hi handsome," I smile back at him. We start to practice, and I show him a couple different techniques. Every so often I'll see him staring at me and smiling. "What?" I ask, starting to blush as I look down. "Nothing baby, I was just thinking that I'm the luckiest guy alive." I raise my eyebrows at him and smirk, " And why might that be?" "Oh maybe because fate brought me a someone who I can relate to, and shares the same passions as me, and is incredibly beautiful?" He smiles ear to ear. I can help but blush, I just met him, but it's like I've known him forever. He's so sweet too, for example he could've said I was hot or something like that, it instead he said I was beautiful. Soon coach called practice over, and I went to go change. When I walked out Grayson was already waiting for me. "Hi beautiful," "Hi babe." I answer back playfully. "I just wanted to walk you to your next class," He says as he gives me a quick kiss and wraps his arm on my lower back as we walk. We're about to reach my class when we both get a text message. We look at each other confused, I open the message and see it was from my dad. "Apparently we're having dinner tonight," I say to Grayson. "I know my dad just texted me, I wonder what they're going to say?" "I'm not sure, but I'll meet you at my car after school, ok babe?" I ask Grayson. "Mhm," he simple nods his head. He give me a quick kiss and leaves to go to his class.
