Wynonna/Elle's POV
Its my 5th Birthday and I was mindlinking my mom. She told me that around midnight tonight I will shift into my wolf and my other creatures. Right now I am walking to James and Lara's room to wake them up seeing as it is 11:55 pm so I have five minutes till my first shift.
When I get to their room I knock then waltz on in. I shake Lara gently and say "momma? I have 4 minutes until my first shift" and she bolts up and yells at James 'Jameson Lee Nightwing!! Wake up Now!! We have 3 minutes till the shift!' He bolts up and picks me up while running out the door and to the pond in the middle of the woods with Lara right next to us. "Daddy where are we going?" I asked softly my voice filled with tiredness. "Sweetheart we are going to the lake where no one from the pack will find out that your the daughter of Selene. Also because you will need to shift into your mermaid." Daddy replied softly then whispered the part of where no one can find out, but I heard him clear as day. Not even noticing but the 5 minutes are up and I started to scream and wiggle all around in James arms. He set me down and I felt the soft feeling of the sand, while I was in the sand I was calm enough to notice that I'm not screaming bloody Murder. Lara and James just stared at me wide-eyed, while I shifted into my wolf. Once I was done shifting into my wolf I looked into the pond and saw this big Blood red wolf with big beautiful silver eyes. Soon I started to scream again, I rolled into the lake and started to shift into my mermaid my legs grew together and my feet glue out and into Big Silver fluke was this gorgeous light silver with Black bear fur around my waist. I swam upwards towards the surface seeing as I was in the darkest and deepest part of the lake. As I reached the surface I jumped in the air causing my tail to flap around gracefully. James and Lara were shocked. When I swam to the shore I noticed that I needed a towel. So I mindlinked Lara °do you have a towel momma??° I stopped and poked my head above water to see her waving a towel at me.
When I got onto the shore she immediately laid the towel over me and watched as my tail evaporated into visible silver bubbles. Not so soon after, I noticed that I started to scream silently as my voice turned into a velvet and powerful weapon. I was turning into my Siren. I noticed that James was holding a sobbing Lara, so naturally I asked "what's wrong momma?" My hands automatically flew up to my mouth to cover it and I got shocked that my voice is that soft. "the *hic* last *hic* transformation is the hardest." She wailed out.
I soon knew why. I was bent over screaming and trying to scratch my lower shoulder blades, because of the feeling of the skin getting ripped off. Growing wings are the most painful thing ever! I thought. While I though this there was this red and silver light that wrapped around my body like a wild fire. After the beautiful light, I looked down and saw that I was toga that went mid thigh, was torn and battered at the ends. The ends of my dress and wings are colored to make it look like dripping blood.
I shifted out by imagining myself, to every last little detail.

Lara dies at my age of 7 of cancer.
