"I really like these Galaxy Gauges here. The only problem is all the smaller sizes. I don't need them." I sat in a box in my dark purple room, my cousin was finishing painting, on my laptop looking at gauges on Amazon.com.

"Sell them, I guess. Will you get off your ass and help? I'm doing this for you." Darrell said pointing to the paintbrushes.

I shut my laptop and sat up laying it on the box and grabbing a brush. "Thanks for letting me stay here." I said painting some lighter spots.

"Hey, me and your brother were like brothers, that means you're my sister. I'm suppose to do things like this."

"So does that mean you're gonna be cool and not make me go to school?"

"Chase, you're 17, this is your senior year. Suck it up."

"I've already looked at this town and everyone here looks like rich bitches."

"Yeah, you're just the bitch."

"Shut up." I put my paint brush down.

"Alright, you're room is finished. Just one more night on the couch and your bed will be moved inside the room."

"Thanks, bucket head." I smiled as he left my room.

"No prob, chicken leg!"

I got up and walked to the kitchen slipping on my flip flops and ran outside. My white hair flew in my face as I walked down the side walk and down the street. I stopped at a stop sign and waited for cars to go by when one stopped with two guys in the front seat.

"Wow, I didn't think we had hookers this side of town, Danny!" Yelled the driver.

I leaned down and put my elbows on the car door. "Hi, my name is Chase." I made my voice low and heavy, to sound sexier. I flashed my big blue eyes at the two boys shifting my weight on one foot to the other so my ass would move. "I pay $12 an hour. Which I would love to get paid today, but you two, aren't worth the time. But I'll give you $12 for a joint."

"Weed?" Danny asked.

I laughed stood up walking in front of the car. "Don't mess with a bitch." I climbed on the hood of the car and jumped as two dents made their way into the black vehicle. "Just tell the insurance you hit your friend there."

I walked away smiling with a hand behind my back and my middle finger up high.

Half expecting the boys to follow and mug me, I ran to a piercing store. The place smelled of weed and cigarettes. A big man with a black vest sat the in the back eating a sandwich. I leaned against the counter looking through the glass at 00 gauges. And they had the Galaxy plugs I wanted.

"Excuse me?" I said waving.

The man got up standing close to seven feet tall and walked to the counter, "What can I do you for?"

"I want those plugs, the Galaxy ones and my third holes done."

"Are you 18?"

"Yes." I pulled out my fake ID and slid it over. It hadn't failed me yet. After purchasing everything and his making copies, I sat in a piercing room and pulled out the earring I wanted. He pierced it then I left putting my hair in a big messy bun. I put in the new plugs and walked down the street some more looking at shops and coffee shops.

HELP WANTED. HIRING NOW. PART TIME JOB. $16 AN HOUR.

I slid inside the clothing store that was packed with woman fighting over unique pieces of clothing and walked to the counter.

"If you're here to bring something back or tell me a woman just ripped something out of your hands, this store is called 'One Of A Kind' for a reason."

"No, I'm here for an application." I said looking at the middle aged redheaded woman.

"You start Wednesday at 4:30, don't be late." She said running over to two woman who were fighting physically.

I shrugged and walked out of the store and down the street to head home before the rain settled in. I felt sprinkles and as soon as I reached the drive, it began to pour.
