I watched Darrell try hooking up the DVD player to the TV. It was pretty amusing considering he got it right twice, but never knew it because he was behind the tv. "Oh my god! I can't get this damn thing!" He threw his hands in the air and removed himself from behind the tv.

I laughed. "Let me do it." I said standing up. I put the colored plugs where they were suppose to be. And I heard the blasting noise of "Coming soon to theaters near you!"

I put the tv back in place and sat down looking at Darrell who was kind of shocked. I laughed and handed him the popcorn. He cursed, "Damn it. I forgot the chocolate."

I got up, "I'll run to the gas station." I grabbed my purse and keys and slipped on some shoes, then ran out to my car. It was a pretty gray, rainy day, so we decided to have a movie day.

I pulled up to the gas station and shut my car off, then stepped inside. I walked through the isles until I found the candy isle and stared at the chocolate.

"On your period or something?" I turned and dropped the basket full of chocolate. Darrin.

"Uh..movie day..with Darrell.." it had been a few months since I had last seen Darrin. He bent down and started picking things up. Then handed me the basket.

"Ah, I see. How you been?" He smiled his sexy, award winning smile. I wanted to give myself to him, but I knew better.

"F-fine. I have to go." I pushed pass him and rushed to the cashier. She scanned things and told me total.

"Have a nice day." She smiled at me and I put the basket back, feeling green eyes on my back.

I walked to my car and put the bag in the other seat dropping my phone on the ground. "Fuck." I squatted down and looked under the car, reaching for my phone.

"Need help?" Darrin was standing beside me.

"No, thank you." I said reaching my phone and pulling it back. I reached for my keys and was stopped.

"Listen, Chase, I know I screwed up, but can we try again? Start over?" He leaned close, close enough to smell the cigarettes on his breath.

"I'm sorry, but no." I pulled away and got into my car.

"Stop, Chase. Talk to me. Please." He held my door open.

"Please let go. Let go of my car. Let go of the feelings." I sucked in and all of a sudden, "I'm dating Jake." It just..slipped.

He looked at me weird then laughed. "Well, then I guess he's cheating on you. I saw him making out with some chick at the movie theater yesterday." He smiled, "This isn't over, Chase. You're gonna miss me, and we're gonna be back to normal." He winked and walked away.

I shut my door and locked it. His words played in my mind. It kind of scared me.

The rest of the day I acted as if nothing happened. I didn't tell Jake. But I worried. If his girlfriend found out, I could die. Of course I could easily beat the shit out of her, no problem, but it also wasn't right for me to say anything like that. But then again, she was a bitch, she diserved it.

I crawled into bed and took out my phone to play music on. I was stopped when my window opened and in popped Jake. For some reason, in the pit of my stomach, I knew I was in trouble. I knew he knew what I had done.

I was predicting to get yelled at and I braced myself, but what happened next was rather shocking, but enjoyable. He kissed me..
