The sheets shifting from a warm sunrise, the smell of the dark coffee brewing in the room over with skin touching the silk like fabric delicately being laid upon his back. Scratches littered the tanner boys back from the previous night, a deep exhale leaving his soft lips. Eren's eyes shifted to be reoriented with his surroundings, looking to the open window to his right before rolling over to be on his back. The years had passed so quickly and yet it only had felt like only weeks at most. He knew Levi must of already been up and maybe off to work even, not expecting him to be home. His bare chest slowly in and exhaling before swinging his feet to the side and getting up. Rubbing his arms from the cold temperature Levi had left the temperature on, he shifted to pick up his forest green robe, then peaking out the door to see if Levi was still home. Eren smiled lightly to see his companion sitting outside on the porch watching the tide roll in, sneakily grabbing some coffee and went to go scare him.
"You know I hear you brat?" He smirked, his eyes shifting to look back at him. "Wha--?? How'd you hear me? I was silent!!" Eren laughed but somewhat pouted at the teasing tone in Levi's remark.
"Oh come on, your robe strap is rubbing on the wooden floor, the cupboard was opened with a creak, your large feet-" Eren cut him off. "Okay Okay I heard enough." He rolled his eyes and settled down next to him, silence coming over them as he leaned closer into his husband, sipping the slightly room temperature coffee. "Shouldn't you be at work?" Eren then realized, looking at Levi's robe with most likely nothing under it.
"I have to tell you something.." He said finally, you could tell it was hard for him to mention. Eren hadn't seen him like this in what seemed like ages and it made his stomach curl, having awful memories arrive as he pushed them back down. "I was fired, yesterday, I mean. I was being too--- Smart. And my employer had enough after almost six years. I was the most important damn person there and they. They just." He didn't finish his sentence as Eren kissed his cheek lightly. "I'm sure there's many others who want you!" Eren tried to cheer him up, but knew deep down there was something Levi wouldn't say or mention. As if the company knew something no one else did.
"I hope..." Was all he said, Eren slowly getting up. "Well, don't be down when Armin comes over tonight, he's bringing his new boyfriend. It turns out his bi curiosity was there!" Eren laughed, Levi rolling his eyes with a smirk as he got up as well. Levi slowly pulled out his phone, going to his contacts in his phone and scrolled through, stopping at a contact labelled 'Boss.'
Chills rolling down his spine like an avalanche, he slowly went outside to the porch and made sure the door was tightly shut before calling. Immediately on the first ring, there was an answer. "Come to reclaim your job Ackerman?" The female voice cooed, the sound of long thin nails tapping being heard in the background along with a ticking clock. "I don't know... I don't even know why I'm calling, this isn't right." Levi hissed, realizing how dumb he was. "You know what you have to do to get back your job and then rerank to where you were." The chilling voice echoed, Levi's eyes closing in torment of someone being more powerful then he was, rubbing his face. "I will never do that again..." He said seriously, now pacing but stopped himself and began to think more logically. "Levi, you know you will. I could ruin you if I wanted to, I know what you've done, what your thoughts are, who you are, what you fear the most. I could destroy you. So the next time you call me. Be at my door waiting for me to open it and do it for the person you love. Before I step in and take him for you." She cackled at the end, the call ending and Levi leaning back against the outside of the home. He kept cursing to himself until he started to have a flashback of his child hood, not being able to snap out of it.
12 year old Levi stood silently leaning against the back of a deli, the putrid stench of rotting meat filling his nose as he attempted not to gag. He heard men and women calling his name, knowing if they caught him he'd be taken back to the orphanage be despised almost as much as water. He covered his mouth as he heard a figure coming his way, tears welling in his eyes and his small frame trembling from complete terror. The figure slowly turning and saw him, a smile lightly spreading as the small bald mans head. "I-I'll beat the shit out of you if you come near me." Levi managed to croak, rain beginning to trickle down onto his head. The man laughed as his wrinkles deepened more, scratching his head. "Come inside. I know the people are looking for you. They'll get you soon." His voice deep but obviously littered with a drunken past. Slowly, not trusting him, Levi still followed behind the man into the back door of the deli, the rain picking up. A blanket wrapped around the frail child, the older man observed him, sighing as he noticed Levi was still not okay. "You're name is Levi?" The elder said sweetly, handing him a small cup of Levi's first green tea. "Why do you need to know?" The chattering boy hissed, yet still taking the tea and drinking slowly, his eyes lighting up at the warm yet bitter taste. "And yours...?" Levi mumbled, the man having a small smile. "Pixis~" He said lightly. "That's a shitty name..." Both of them smiling a bit.
The thought faded away as he took a deep breath before walking back in, putting a small smile onto his face. "Better start getting ready for Armin and his idiotic mystery man to arrive!" He said sarcastically, walking up behind Eren and slapping his ass playfully, Eren leaning into him sweetly. "Okay captain~" He teased, Levi wrapping his arms around his waist , feeling every curve.
