Gazing - upon a starry night of lonely stars
Shining radiantly from a place so far
Like a blazing lamp with crimson niche gem
He - was to do - anything to grasp them
As he kindled a fire - in hope of much warmth
Even then nothing could steal the spotlight of the distanced diamonds
Out of the fire, they emerged - the fireflies were all too envious
"How come he doesn't notice us in all the beauty we have put forth?"
Jealousy, Anger poured over the ocean of their empty hearts
From their plot - nothing can make them part
Swarming like countless flying moths
They settled - stung him his last breath to death
Shouting in excruciating agony at the fast departure of the soul
Locking eyes - taken his precious life - none there to call
So much so - as he reached the high, high heavens
All there was to be seen - a pile of old, dead stars
