There they were. Sitting next to each other at the Wedding of Bash and Mary. Anne was please pleasantly sitting straight in a lovely dress with small braids and a bow in her hair. Gilbert was wearing a lovely elegant suit and was happily enjoying life while watching his friends, Sebastian get married.
" I now pronounce you, husband and wife" said the priest looking at Sebastian and Mary " you may now kiss the bride".
Sebastian leaned in, as did Mary and locked lips. Everyone in the church stood up clapping and yelling "Congratulations".

Time had passed and it was now after the wedding and Anne and Gilbert were outside the church talking and having a good time. Anne really did miss these moments with an incredibly nice young man like Gilbert. She told him she wanted to be a teacher, like Miss Stacey.
"Tragical romance and all?" said Gilbert responding to her teacher statement.
"Remains to be seen," Anne said trying to stay smart. And she thought she did, but he gave her this gaze of gleefulness, which made her turn a slight red and smile.
"Hey, theres a wedding party at my house this afternoon, but I think you already knew that," said Gilbert scratching his head.
"Actually, I didn't. Im sure Marilla and Matthew would love to come and join the festivity,"
"Excellent"
"Well, I guess I'll see you at around 2?" questioned Gilbert.
"Of course" replied Anne
They looked at each other in awe and satisfaction. Anne and Gilbert's stare lasted, which like seemed like forever, but only a couple minutes.
"We best be going Anne," said Matthew interrupting their moment.
"Right" said Anne in utter shock and started to walk when she heard Gilberts voice.
"Bye, Anne Shirley-Cuthbert"
"Bye, Gilbert Blythe"
And they waved their hands in the motion of good bye as if there little conversation of saying goodbye wasn't enough.
"I can't believe he smirked while saying my name" thought Anne, but brushed it off thinking that he must do that to all girls since he is the "Charm" of the school.
And at that the Cuthbert Family said their good-bye's and went on home.
Gilbert who still stood at the door of the church watched Anne ride away. He smiled when she turned around one last time and gave a slight smile and wave. He did the same in return, but he felt something when doing it. He felt an unusual sensation in his stomach and then it left.
" It must be nothing," he thought.

"Gilbert!" a voice said.
Gilbert looked up, but saw no one.
"Gilbert!" the voice said again, but he just stood up looking around to try and find the person who's voice was shouting his name. And he soon realised it was Bash who was yelling his name.
"Bash?!" Gilbert yelled in reply.
"Hey!" Bash said finally coming into view with Gilbert, who was in the barn setting tables and chairs and lighting candles.
"Hey, I was just setting up some flowers in some vase's and putting them around the barn, what brings you here? shouldn't you be helping Mary?" asked Gilbert.
"Yeah, she told me to come out here and check on you and see if you want to get ready now. Guests should be coming soon and we need to look nice still," said Bash.
"Um. . . sure," Gilbert said at last. He quickly greeted Mary from inside and she told him his clothes were already on his bed waiting for him to wear them. He rushed upstairs and put his nicely washed and ironed suit (which was a gift to him from Mary's friends at her old job). It was a plain suit for a lovely occasion like this. He brushed his hair making it look nicely taken care of and change out of his work boots to some more presentable shoes.
After he was done he reached in a drawer and pulled out a small box with a necklace. It was his mother's. It had a lovely silver chain with a locket in it with no picture, but he had a lovely picture of the person he wanted to put in their, (which he got from the family of this person). He put the picture in and stuffed some sloth in a small box and tied a ribbon in it. He planned on giving this to that person later though the party.
He then put it in his pocket and went downstairs. The clock struck 2 and people began to show and pull up in wagons or come walking.
"Gilbert can you please wait upstairs until the newly weds couple comes down," one lady said. Her name was Lucy and she was sort've like his nanny when the couple went on their honeymoon or The Bog.
"Sure," Gilbert replied nicely even though he wanted to be downstairs greeting the guests.
He simply obeyed and went into his room looking out the window. And there he saw a familiar face. It was Diana and the Barry family. He quickly waved his hand through the window, until he got her attention. After 2 minutes she was close enough to see him waving. He then motioned to come inside.
Diana quickly rushed of her carriage and with her family greeted the hosts and went into the housed. Her family went into the kitchen and Diana quickly escaped when they were talking about how good the food looks.
As soon as she reached the top of the stairs Gilbert waved from his door. She rushed over and into his room.
"Hey, Diana" Gilbert said now a bit nervous. It was his first time having a girl in his room. Diana was also feeling the same way, but brushed it off.
"What is it that you needed me to sneak off into your room?"
"Im suppose to wait in my room until Bash and Mary are done getting ready" he said with no pause "So, I need company and your the first to arrive" he said.
"Oh" Diana replied flatly. Gilbert understood she was uncomfortable.
"Well do you want to play game" she said finally. His face filled up with excitement.
"Will do," he said. And there they were sitting on his bed facing each other playing a game.
