Virgil had met Roman first out of all of them. He met Roman while both were in a rush. They ran right into each other. Roman caught the younger and his brown eyes were so captivating.

————————————

Virgil ran down the hall as quickly as he could. He felt his body hit a males chest. He toppled to the ground and quickly stood, offering a hand to help the other up. "I'm so sorry!" He spoke, guilt evident in his voice. The boy smiled at him and for the first time he saw the smile met the eyes. That never happened with Virgil's friends. He looked at the boys eyes for a second to long before looking away. "It's fine!" Roman finally replied. Virgil nodded. "I better get going though. I have people to meet," Roman added. Virgil nodded and let Roman push past him before he watched Roman run off and continued his trek to class.

—————————————————

He met Logan next. During time Roman had gotten close to Virgil. They were basically best friends at this point. So he didn't expect any less when he got Roman's invitation to his birthday. He would be 18. Virgil was excited to go though. This is where he met Logan.

—————————

Virgil took in a shaky breath and sat on the sidelines. Crowds were never really his thing with his anxiety. But he still wanted to be there for Roman. He underestimated the crowd though. He ended up sitting beside a boy in his grade that he recognised. The boy seemed nose deep in his book. That was until Logan noticed the boys fast breathing. He put his book to the side. "Virgil, am I correct?" Logan finally spoke. "Yeah, Uh, yeah. You're Logan, Logan right?" Virgil nodded and stuttered out a reply. "That is correct. You're Roman's friend from what he's said. If I'm not incorrect," Logan continued their conversation. Virgil nodded shyly. He knew Logan was Roman's boyfriend. Or at least one of them. There was also Patton. But Patton had been busy with family issues regarding his sister so Logan, Roman and Patton were going to celebrate the day after the party. Logan nodded and hummed slightly. "Are you okay, Virgil?" Logan questioned. Neither boys noticed Roman coming over. Virgil took another shaky breath and began to get more panicky as the crowd inched closer and closer. He couldn't bring himself to respond. Logan knew what was happening and helped calm the other boy. That was how they met.

———————————————————————————

He met Patton last. How they met is interesting though. Patton nearly ran both Virgil and Roman over earlier that morning. Roman noticed the bike and pulled Virgil aside by the arm. Virgil seemed to be lost in Patton's eyes.

——————————————————————————

Virgil felt Roman grab his arm and drag him aside. "What the hell, Ro?" Virgil questioned in surprise. Roman chuckled and shook his head fondly. "Pat nearly ran us over," Roman explained. Virgil turned to the side to see Patton hoping off his bike quickly. "I'm so sorry you guys!" Patton exclaimed in worry. Virgil shook his head to indicate it was fine. "No no! It's fine, Patton!" Roman told his boyfriend. Virgil nodded slightly at this. Patton apologised once more before the three of them continued to their class. This is how they met.

Now they're in the present. "Isn't there a new kid in Virgil and Logan's grade?" Roman spoke. His mention of Virgil's name snapped him out of his trance. Logan nodded.

"Yes. Indeed there is. He's transferring from Westerburg,"

A scowl was placed on Virgil's face. Westerburg was the school Virgil went to before Everest, the school he's at now, the fact he made it through his first year there still amazes him.

He made a few great friends. Their was Ray and they were the one of sweetest people there. But Ray didn't have any plans to transfer to Everest when Virgil had left a year ago. The two still kept in contact. By Ray liked Westerburg and would only transfer because of heavy bullying. They would've told Virgil beforehand too. So it wasn't Ray.

Which meant it was one of the others. He didn't like the idea of that. There was Ivy and Isaac who were sweet twins. But they had moved to Everest two months before graduation. So it wasn't those two either.

"Isn't Westerburg your old school, Virg?" Patton questioned the scowling boy.

Virgil nodded. "Sadly," he muttered. He hated Westerburg. At least at Everest they were kind. For the most part. There were one or two bullies but they always got dealt with by the teachers.

"Guys. We're going to be late. We should get to class," Roman pointed out. Everyone nodded and Roman and Patton ran off to their first class. Logan sighed and Virgil and Logan headed to their first class.

"Westerburg boy? You a freak like the others?" Someone spoke, jokingly. Everest and Westerburg had a joke where the other school was filled with freaks. Everyone knew it was a joke and didn't take harm from it. That was when a voice Virgil recognised spoke.

"Yes, a proud freak," the deep voice spoke with a chuckle before he met the eyes of the kid.

"Ah." The voice came from right in front of him. Virgil looked away. But it was too late. "I knew I would find you here." Virgil growled.

This was Dolos.

Virgil's abusive ex. . .
