"Sherry, who was that?" Hamish waked in with his heavy academy bag. "The tall girl with black hair. She's not from our Uni is she? She hugged me and left."
I sat with my hands on my lips, irritation coursing through my veins. "Who?"
Hamish let out a breath, loosening his tie, running a hand through his light brown hair. "Never mind."

Hot.... I blushed. Stop it, Sheryll. You don't need anymore distractions. Focus.
"Shall I make dinner?"

I heaved a sigh. "How the heck do I make dinner....? Dear Lord how does Hamish do this?"

30 minutes later, I stared at the growing fire around me in silent horror. As quietly as I could, I began to put it out with the extinguisher. "Oh shit..."
I was standing in the middle of Hamish's beloved kitchen, which I had utterly destroyed.
"Sher are you almost done?"

I ran over to Hamish, burying my face in his shoulder.
"Did I ever tell you how you're such a wonderful person and how I love that you're my friend?"
Hamish was silent for a while.

"Sheryll Adellete Holmes, what did you do this time?!"

"You do know that we can't order Chinese takeout every time you destroy the kitchen, right?" Hamish was still frowning.
"No, no, I know. I'm really sorry, Watson." I had been apologising profusely. Blushing, I grumbled "Look, you get to pick the movie tonight." Hamish raised an eyebrow. "Hm... oh fine. I can't stay mad at you, Holmes." He gave me a dorky grin.

I smiled back, painfully. Romantic Comedies. Great.
