I love writing at 3 in the morning delirious, tired and filled with anxiety.

Third person:

(Y/N) could feel the annoyance radiating off of Audrey when she strolled into the house after a hard day at work. Even after eating a home cooked dinner and relaxing by the t.v, the pent up anger was still present as Audrey's shoulders were tense, glaring at the t.v screen every so often.

When the clock struck 12 (Y/N) picked up her phone and wallet placing them in the pockets of her trousers, she dangled the car keys in front of her stressed out girlfriend, Audrey's eyes caught sight of the keys and sent a small smile (Y/N)'s way, she took a hold of the other's hand as they both made their way to the car in their night suits. (Y/N) taking her place in the driver's seat as Audrey makes her way to the passenger side. The night was comforting for the both of them, the dark was never scary but more soothing engulfing them in a sense of bliss.

Audrey plugged her phone into the AUX cord playing soft music to help with the mood, the ride to MacDonald's was spent in comfortable silence. They pulled up to the drive thru window ordering two iced lattes along with some large fries. Iced lattes were the best for these times not too sweet with a hint of bitterness present but not like black coffee able to keep you awake and jittery for hours on end. Waiting for their order in silence as (Y/N) intertwines her fingers with Audrey's tracing her thumb along the other's soft skin.

After they were handed their food the two started their drive to absolutely nowhere, going in circles in the area they lived driving on the road next to the river. Slowly the songs started getting more upbeat as the rants started to get louder. (Y/N) and Audrey jammed out in the car, screaming the lyrics at the top of their lungs as they ranted about anything and everything that bothered them from controlling bosses, annoying family members to how shit the world is but how fortunately there are still some good people left in the world. This was a regular occurrence for the couple, happening about twice a month if not more.

Slowly it felt like the oxygen was returning to their lungs, the feeling of wanting to scream and cry to let out their frustrations was fading away, parking in front of the river, the windows rolled down as they sipped on their coffee basking in the night, the silence washing over them in a blanket of comfort and familiarity. Their heads placed against the head rest, (Y/N) tucked her legs under her as Audrey carefully placed her's on the dashboard, pulling the liver on the sides of the seats into a more comfortable lying position as they both stared into each other's eyes, thinking their eyes sparkled brighter then the stars shining in the sky, getting lost in a world where there were no worries, no troubles just the two of them living happily in each others arms

"Thank you (Y/N) I really needed that." Audrey says with sincerity, showing off her cute dimples when she smiled.

"Anytime Auds, we both needed that and as long as it stops you from stressing then I'll gladly do it." She said back in a hushed tone kissing the back of the short haired girl's hand that was placed in hers.

"These rides are always so therapeutic, I never want to go home.. to the real world." Audrey whispers staring at the black river that stood still at this time with just a small breeze to keep cool but not strong enough to move the stubborn river.

"We don't have to go back yet, It's just 2am we can driver around for another hour and then head home." (Y/N) suggested. "Sound good?"

"That would be perfect." Audrey said, a smile gracing her face staring at her beautiful girlfriend.

"I love you.." Audrey speaks in a soft voice caressing the side of the face of what she felt was an angel sent from heaven.

(Y/N) trails her hand up Audrey's arm, taking her hand in hers again, leaving a lingering kiss on the back of her hand as she whispered, "I love you too." Against her hand a smile of her own etched on her face.

Short but sweet.
