Chapter II

The following day Kemuri had woken up the same way as the previous day, the sun would creep into his room and rest on his eyelids until he woke up. Getting a shower in he got ready to go and hangout with Nathan once again, making his sister something to eat before he left he walked down the street to see Maria and Johnathan out relaxing on the porch in patio furniture, a pitcher of pink lemonade and two glasses sat on the table between them. The condensation of the cool liquid inside of the pitcher. Johnathan and Maria were in the middle of talking before they bursted into laughter, Johnathan would catch the sight of Kemuri walking down the street and he would shout out "Hey Kemuri! Come on over!" Kemuri sighed to himself thinking 'what could you possibly want old man?' but he didn't say it out loud. He walked across the street to the Michele's yard. The grass was green and well kept which added to the houses beauty. Kemuri had looked around the yard before spotting a stone pathway that led to the porch where the older couple was waiting. He smiled as kindly as he could which might have looked like he was a little constipated or like he was trying not to cry somewhere in between. "hello Mr. And Mrs. Michele." He said as he leaned against the pillar that held up the roof. Johnathan would look at Kemuri and smiled Maria did the same, it was kind of creepy how they were looking at him. He felt a shiver run up his spine but he ignored it. "So Kemuri.... How old are you?" Kemuri looked at the man, suddenly he felt uncomfortable. He always got awkward when people asked how old he was. At first he stood there not wanting to say but something made him speak truthfully "I just turned 17 not that long ago...." His eyes trailed off to the side before he brought them back to the couple. The couple exchanged a look and he got that nervous feeling that makes a person feel like they are in trouble. Suddenly Maria spoke with a slightly excited tone "well you are around our daughters age, and we haven't been here for very long. Would you do us a favor and get her out of the house for a while.... She keeps herself up in her room and we think that she should get to know the area. We would really appreciate it" he would blink blankly and then he would think about it, at first he thought 'man..... This is gonna be a drag.... Maybe I should tell then I have stuff to do' but before he could say anything Mr. Michele had already gone into the house coming back with his daughter behind him. She looked at Kemuri and sighed softly before rolling her eyes, this made Kemuri a little annoyed "hey... I'm Kemuri.." he said trying to be nice. She looked at him and gave a scoff as she crossed her arms over her chest "Your name sounds stupid.." Kemuri looked at her and then he got a plain look on his face 'this brat...' was the only thought that was going through his mind. Mr. And Mrs. Michele would look at her and gasp "Alexa!" They both said in unison, they scolded her for her cold comment. they would look at Kemuri and they would apologize "We're so sorry! We raised her to speak her mind.... We should of also raised her to not be so cold to people." They shook their heads displeased with their daughter. Meanwhile Alexa never took her eyes off of Kemuri, Kemuri never took his eyes off of her. Then they both smirked like they had planned something. They both had a single thought on their mind, get under each other's skin. Kemuri would turn and smile at the Michele's before he spoke "I'll make sure to show her around and make sure she has fun." They thanked him before they walked away from the house. Kemuri and Alexa would walk around the town as Kemuri tried to talk to her only getting irritating short responses from the girl. After a while they had come to a arcade where they found they shared something in common, gaming. Spending some time at the arcade they were very competitive with each others scores but it was surprisingly fun for the both of them. After the time lunch had rolled around the two left the arcade, walking towards a diner. This diner was a local favorite and also a good place to eat. The neon lights that were bent to form letters when the sun went down, read out 'The wild boar'. Ordering food for the both of them they both got burgers and fries with a milkshake. After they had eaten and talked about the arcade Kemuri would look at the time and sigh softly. It was time for him to go home to watch his little sister which was a lot of work. He would look at her "sorry to cut the fun short but i have to go watch a brat." His eyes connected with hers and then he felt a little upset because the fun was ending. She looked at him and could tell something was wrong. She smiled and then stood up, he looked at her and smiled before he stood up after her and walked towards the door to open it for her. Walking home they had talked for a little while before he had dropped her off at her house. Mr. Michele was standing out on the front lawn watering the grass. "Hey, your back so early?" Kemuri nodded and then Alexa walked past her dad and went into the house but not before she shot a birdie at Kemuri. Kemuri shake his head and smile before he started to walk home. While he walked he thought about how the two of them hangout that day and it made him smile. Walking into the house he sighed softly but it was interrupted by his sister running into the hall and headbutting him right in the gut. Thus his hell began, it was a long night after that. Kemuri was in pain and sore from how his sister would roughhouse with him. Finally after a shower he flopped down onto the bed and looked at the window he could see the stars that he loved so much, the night was beautiful and the day was probably the best he'd remember..
