Chapter Nine

Stelleuna POV

I woke up to food on the bedside table and Julius no where in sight. I grabbed the tray and quietly ate the pancakes and bacon and sipped the apple juice.

God i love apple juice.

I finished it and set the cup down.

I snapped my head to the door as it opened and groaned regretting that.

"Help" i moaned. It hurt so bad. "Shit" Julius said rushing out. A nurse walked in and stuck a needle in my IV. They both watched and i sighed smiling sheepishly.

"Thank you" i said to her. She nodded and walked out.

Julius shut the door and sat in the chair at the side of the table.

"I go back to classes on Wednesday" Julius said suddenly. I looked at him and frowned.

"What is today?" I asked.

"Monday" he sighed.

"Oh hell no. I want out! Now" i snapped.

I want to be with him before he leaves.... i can't just be stuck here. Can i?

"You're here till Thursday love. You're in a cast remember?" He sighed running a hand thru his hair.

I smacked my lips and turned away.

"Whatever" i said. He came around the bed and looked at me.

"Stelle please don't be like that. I'll still try to visit you as much as i can.... you don't go back to school till next week. So this weekend I'll leave campus and come see you" He said holding my hands in one of his hands.

I nodded not looking at him.

He leaned in closer.

"Please look at me" He said.

I looked into his eyes and they held sadness.

"What's wrong?" He asked me.

I shook my head.

"Nothing." I said softly.

"Please" he begged.

"I'm gonna miss you" i mumbled embarrassed.

He looked shocked i even said that.

"I'm gonna miss you too Stelley" he said poking my nose. I smiled rolling my eyes and he grinned. The door opened and in walked Mama and Dad.

"Hello Julius" Mama said sitting on the chair. He smiled waving.

"How are you?" She asked him. He looked confused.

"I'm great" he grinned. She gave a small smile and turned to me.

"Sweetie? You?" She asked.

"Good" i said monotonously. She glared at me and dad cleared his throat.

"So lovebirds. We have news." I rolled my eyes at the nickname. Cute.

"What is it?" I asked looking at him.

"Me and your mother have decided to take a little break from everything. Like a vacation. We leave for Hawaii in the morning" he grinned.

"We're going to Hawaii?" I yelled excited.

Mom blushed and dad's face fell.

"I meant we as in...... me and your mother" he said quietly. I almost didn't hear him.

My heart monitor sped up as i glared at him. His eyes widened.

"Just leave your crippled daughter here huh? You're a sorry ass parent" i snarled.

"That is no way to speak to me" he said angrily.

"Y'all don't even act like my parents! We barely talk as it is" i shouted. My heart monitor was loud and fast. Julius held my hand and squeezed it.

I closed my eyes and took a deep breath.

"You'll be staying with Princeton" Mom added.

"Are you fu- freaking kidding me?" I snapped. She bit down on her lip and i was heated.

"This is bullshit" i said honestly.

"Honey we will continue this when we return. Lose the attitude" Mama warned.

I rolled my eyes and they walked out.

Sorry. Ass. People. I have sorry ass people in my life.

"Do you even want to stay with Princeton? I'm sure he's gonna have his girlfriend over a lot" Julius said sitting back in the chair. I shrugged.

"I'm gonna be alone since you have college so i need company" i said softly. He sucked his teeth and nodded.

"What would you do if he tested you? Or should i say tempted you?" He asked quietly.

I tilted my head confused. "And what do you mean?" I asked. He stood up and walked up to the bed and put his face close to mine.

"What if he got this close to you" he whispered looking at my lips. I blinked and heard my heard monitor speed up.

"P-push him away" i whispered. He licked his lips and his eyes met with mine.

"Are you sure? What if he kissed you" he asked.

"Kissed me where" i grinned.

"You're slick" he grinned and leaned in kissing me. I put my hand on his cheek softly and he smiled pulling away.

"Well" i said laughing.

He stood straight up and shrugged.

"You answered my question" he said boredly. I nodded.

"Cool" i said.

"Man I'm gonna miss you" he groaned rolling his eyes.

I blushed and smiled watching him go to sit on the chair.

"Come lay beside me then" i said. He jumped up and said "yesss" and kicked his shoes off.

He got under the covers and kissed my cheek.

He held my hand and we sat there quietly.

"I like you" he suddenly whispered in my ear.

My eyes widened and my heart monitor sped up again.
