POV 3rd Person

Nick gently nudged Lay awake as the carriage rolled to a stop. She jumped and shakily woke, terrified that she was still locked up, but calmed as she recognized her lifetime friend. "N-nick?..." She yawned.

"Hey, time to wake up sleepy head." He smiled softly, and pet her head gently, trying to calm the fluff of fear that had raised when she had awoken. "We are here. Safe."

"S-Safe?..." She whimpered, as Nick opened the door to the carriage. He gently helped her up and lead her out.

Lay shook, shakily walking as there was no weight on her ankles that she had accustomed to. She tried to stop down the wagon stairs and lost her balance, and fell onto Nick. He caught her quickly and stumbled backwards, before falling on his butt.

"S-Sorry! Are you hurt?!" Lay panicked.

"No, I'm ok." He started laughing. He hugged her gently, "Are you ok?"

"Yeah." She sighed relieved that he was not hurt. He held her close for a minute before gingerly standing up and carrying her into a secret door that Deadlox had opened. He got the carriage in as Nick and Lay went through the halls.

Lay blinked at the bright room and shielded her eyes.

There was a soft sound of other people talking. While Lay's eyes cleared and adjusted to the light, she blinked rapidly until she could clearly see the inside of the safe house.

It appeared to be a cave made out of rock and packed dirt, that had been sealed safely by magic so it would not collapse on them, and was well concealed from outside influence.

A few players and spawns were there, having escaped Glitch's control. There was a faint sound of children's laughter echoing down the hallways. Nick assisted Lay in settling down on a couch, as a familiar face raced around the corner.

"LAY!" Steve raced over and hugged her tightly, shoving Nick aside as he held his sister close. Another pair of streaks of blue and brown raced over and hugged the cat girl tightly, burying their faces into her arms as they held on tightly.

Lay began sobbing in relief and held her brothers tightly, relieved that they were alright, and that they were there, holding her. It felt as if every one of her fears and the danger of the world had vanished, as she had her family there with her. Nearly all her family.

She heard screams of young children and suddenly was tackled by three little kids, who clung and held onto her and cried.

"Lay! Lay Lay Lay Lay Lay!" They cheered and cried as they buried their faces and hugged tightly. Dudily Dude held her the tightest, being the strongest of the little kids, while Bug and Nator Tator held on tightly, while Lay held them all tightly. "WE MISSED YOU!" They cried.

"I-I missed you too!" She choked on her tears, burying her face in their hairs.

They clung to her and refused to let go, even as Notch was doing a check to see how critical Lay's condition was. Steve and Collin returned with food and water to help Lay replenish her needed nutrients.

She shakily ate as the kiddies loosened their grips and clung to her legs, letting her breathe and eat while clinging and let go.

Lay smiled and gently pet them as they happily cried themselves to sleep. She beamed and held on, slowly falling asleep in exhaustion as well.

Notch smiled softly and pet Lay's head. "You are safe, little sister." He rocked her gently, relieved to have her home safe and sound, despite the larger issue at hand.
