The rain trickled down the window of the bus silently, in boredom, Luke began to watch two at a time as if they were racing.

He noticed that the bus had stopped once more and the rest of the people got off as usual, He was always the last one off the bus, his house being the last stop.

But this time was different, a girl stepped onto the bus.

She seemed normal enough, yet Luke had an odd feeling about her.

Maybe it was the fact that she had her hood up, blocking her features from the world.

Or maybe it was the fact that, out of all the free spaces in the bus, she sat beside him.

"Hello" she spoke quietly, surprising Luke. It was one thing to sit beside him but to speak to him?

He felt as if he was in some sort of time warp, no one dared to talk to the freak that was always alone, that listened to different music, that wore different clothes, that was just different in general.

He had gotten used to it and immediately tensed as soon as she had said the simplest of words to him.

But he couldn't help but admire how beautiful her voice sounded, it lured him in, like a drug.

He wanted to hear more.

"Oh, Hey" he replied, forgetting he hadn't answered her.

She said nothing after that and Luke felt dissapointed, she left after a few more stops.

He cursed himself for not trying to start a conversation with her but, what would he have said?

He had no experience in that kind of thing, the only person that talked to him was his mother.

Eventually, the bus came to a stop at the rundown house him and his mother could barely afford, though it was only one floor and three rooms.

Sighing, he picked up his bag and got off the bus, running from the rain and into his poor excuse for a shelter.

Little did he know, that wouldn't be the last opportunity he got to talk to that mysterious girl.
