They didn't do much that day, except walk around and talk.
Which was more than enough for Luke, to say he was enjoying himself was an understatement.
He wanted to hold her hand but thought that she would think he was being clingy or something of that sort, so he decided against it.
"This was fun" Aurora smiled, they were now at the bus stop where they first met up only a few hours ago.
"Me too" Luke smiled down at her, she wasn't especially short but Luke was noticeably a few inches taller.
"OK, see ya later" she gave him a quick hug before turning on her heel and walking away.
Luke stood there, trying to decide whether she really did that or not.
He let a smile make its way onto his face, thinking about it on the walk home.
He opened the door to the unlocked house, which meant his mother was home from her day job.
"Hey mom" he called out.
He heard footsteps until his mother came in to view shortly afterwards.
"Why are you so smiley?" she teased.
Luke instantly let his smile drop, mumbling a "nothing"
"is it a girl?" his eyes snapped upwards to see his mother with a smirk.
"How did you know?" he frowned in confusion.
"I didn't, but now I do" she gave him a kiss on his forehead before speaking again,
"I have to get ready to go back to work" he nodded, used to her hectic schedule of working at the rundown diner.
He walked into the one bedroom, after all this time still feeling bad that he owned the room while his mother slept on the small couch.
Suddenly his head began to pound, his knees buckled until he had collapsed to the floor.
'I'm afraid there have been no signs of recovery'
those words replayed in his brain, he felt as if someone was screaming into his ear, then it all stopped.
He sighed in relief before standing back up and plopping down on his tiny bed, confused as to why that had happened.
After convincing himself it was probably just a wave if dizziness, he let himself fall asleep.....
