I wake to be welcomed with the winter draft as soon as I got out of bed. I should really tell my parents about my success on applying for my job...

Walking down the hallway I could smell freshly cooked goodies just waiting for me to gobble up. What am I going to say? I'm sure they'd be happy

"Good morning, [y/n]" my Dad said this not even looking away from the tv.

"Morning" my voice croaked for the first time in awhile, probably cause I cried like a baby in front of Jeremy yesterday...

"I.." I got their attention as I try to figure how to say words

"I, got the job." I wore an unsure smile

"Well that's great honey!" My Mum gave me a big hug whilst I was waiting for Dad's response.

"[y/n], that's great! I wasn't sure if you were going to take my word and actually apply.." great here comes the 'assuming I'm lazy all the time' talk.

"Well, I did, and I start today... at 12:00am." Honestly, I never expected myself to apply for a job like this either- but here I am!

"That's grea-

My Mum cut herself off with a shocked expression,

"12:00am?!" They both said in unison

"Uh.. yeah.." I'm not sure this was a good idea myself but Mike took a risk for my career. I can't back out now.

"Um sweetie, maybe consider a more... easy job." My Dad had doubt laced in within his tone

"No! I can't, not now. A guy helped me get this job so couldn't just walk away now!" Dad's gonna ask about this 'guy' for sure.

"Guy? Who's is this "guy" ?" Yep there he goes...

"Dad, he's just an employee there. He helped me with convincing the boss.."

"Convincing!?" My Mum was confused at this point.

"Yea.. he's a tough guy. But he decided to take me in." Only because of Mike.

"..." there was silence

"I'll be fine. All I have to do is stay there until 6:00am, then I can come home and then later that day- do it all over again"

They sigh, knowing I won't budge from my decision to work there

"As long as they pay you well.. then it's fine with me" my Dad gives in, which suprised me. Mum follows with her submission

"I can't physically stop you from doing what you wish. Go ahead with the job, and make sure to thank that "employee".

"Thanks. I'm really excited!" I practically yell to them.

"Uh, one more thing. Why did the 'boss' need that much convincing?"

"Well.. he said, because I'm a woman and still at a young age.. I wasn't suitable for the job."

Their expressions were a mix of concern and fury at once.

"Sounds like a VERY odd guy to me" My Mum shrugs it off and leaves the conversation to continue cooking.

My dad just continues to stare out of utter confusion and worry. I decide to just grab a [f/f] 'up and go' drink and head off the my room.

I decide to watch YouTube for a bit, before the time fly's and I'll have to return to the Pizzeria.

I wonder if Mike and Jeremy are gonna be there, I want to get to know Mike alot more.. I mean, I wouldn't mind to spend time with Jeremy again- after all, his sense of humour is always on point. Now to think about it, where did he go after putting the Pizza boxes away?

Surely it doesn't take that long to put two Pizza boxes in the bin. Maybe he was eating? He better not have! I ask him about it later, that's of course IF he's there.

Why did Mike save me from losing a chance at getting the job? Ugh! So many questions yet not enough space in my brain to handle it. Apparently he helped Jeremy out awhile ago, maybe he's just a VERY kind person?

Oh well, what's done is done. Now to focus on the future!

I binge watch drama series and comedy shows, leading to having laughing fits and then getting hiccups. I'm such a dork, no wonder I'm still single haha..

I check the time as it read 7:45pm. Welp, only a few minutes to go before I have to get my arse to the Pizzeria. Kinda nervous but confident and excited at the same time,

Day 1 on the job, yippee...
